Do you want impactful change in parts of your life, and need support to help you move in that direction? Feelings of overwhelm and uncertainty may be making it hard to know how to begin. We all need the support of others and it is okay to ask for help to feel more connected to the life, habits, and relationships that you want.

Hi there lovers. You want to feel understood and connected socially and personally. It's important for you to explore your raw self without guilt or shame, yet most of us don't have that luxury. The goal of therapy is self exploration and awareness, recognizing conditionings, traumas, and learned patterns keeping you looping. People feel most benefit from therapy when they are ready to put in work outside the session as much as in the session. I use humor, empathy and directness to give you a stable yet direct support system to help navigate your life towards satisfaction and feeling fulfilled.

I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental therapy environment where my patients can openly share their fears, deepest thoughts and feelings. I believe strongly that revealing our authentic selves is integral to utilizing therapy to achieve growth and to overcome our most challenging obstacles.

I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my practice. In your first session, we'll explore what brought you to therapy and then decide the most appropriate ways to help you make progress. With CBT, we’ll look at how your thoughts affect your emotions and experience. Then, I have many evidence based therapy modalities that I use to move you forward faster. Most of them are the newer modalities such as EMDR, IFS, Ericksonian therapy, EFT, motivational interviewing and NLP. I integrate and combine these therapies to help you move through obstacles that have held you back.

With over 25 years experience as a clinician, I help individuals develop insights for resolving problems and overcoming challenges that obstruct growth and healing. I tailor the therapy to fit each individual’s needs by combining a compassionate approach with expertise and direct feedback. I’m trained in individual and family therapy with an advanced degree in Depth Psychology. In addition, I specialize in dream interpretation and analyzing unconscious material to uncover the root of difficulties or blind areas that inhibit access to inner wisdom.

Psychotherapy is essentially a collaborative process where the feedback between the therapist and the person is without any sense of judgement or agenda.Therapy is about what works from the perspective of each person's unique personal experience. It allows for a fluid perspective to be understood and worked through. I am an active participant, providing descriptions along with mutually agreed upon insights and interpretations. I believe that the essential process within oneself and in a therapeutic setting should always contain compassion, understanding, respect and empathy. The goal is to develop a positive relationship with oneself and with others.

I work with motivated adults and adolescents to help them cope with transitions in their lives where they feel stuck and in emotional pain. My clients usually want tools they can use themselves as well as a healing environment. I work collaboratively with clients to cultivate their strengths as well as support them in overcoming inner obstacles. They want a more positive relationship with themselves and others and to move forward in healthy ways behaviorally. They want better boundaries and joy in their lives.

If you find yourself feeling stuck, anxious, depressed, angry, or blocked from harnessing your full potential, I can help. In therapy, we will work together to discover how you can live the life you want. It’s important to be seen for your authentic self and I will strive to create a space where you can examine all aspects of your identity. Some things therapy can include are processing past hurts, changing unwanted behaviors, gaining greater insight into oneself, or exploring a career change. I will adapt to your needs so you can develop the skills needed to enact your desired change.

I believe that the therapeutic relationship is a core part of engaging in healthy life changes. Change is very difficult for most people and sometimes all it takes is to talk about your struggles and have someone to listen and try to understand. My belief is that the therapy relationship can help the healing process no matter what it is you are dealing with. The first step towards having a happy life is a healthy mind.

We specialize in working with adolescents, young adults, and their families who are struggling to support the client and help them learn how to cope with the world. Wether they are dealing with anxiety, depression, substance use (experimenting or advanced), ASD, failure-to-launch or just teen angst- we pair each client with a therapeutic mentor who is close in age and relatable, who can work with the client one-on-one out in the community where they are experiencing difficulties and help them learn the tools to be successful. Regardless of what they are facing, our mentors are trained to help support clients in facing their issues.

Being a woman in America in 2024 is not easy. A mentor of mine once said that she did not envy my experience as a woman today. She grew up in a different time, a time when she was expected to be a good mother for her children and a responsible homemaker for her husband. Today, beyond these roles, there is a subtle, quiet undercurrent of expectations including, but by no means limited to, being a “good” wife, sister, friend, and neighbor (what does “good” mean anyway?), a career woman, an impromptu party host with a meticulous home, and a selfless volunteer in the community, all while maintaining a size 2 figure.

I’m so happy you’re on this site and thinking about therapy. There are many factors to consider when picking a therapist and, most importantly, you want it to be the right fit for you. The relationship between a therapist and client is the strongest indicator for success in treatment, and my ultimate goal is to create a safe and secure environment. My professional and personal mindset is to be a lifelong learner. I’m always learning from clients, as there is no single approach to therapy. I believe in meeting you where you are, working side-by-side to achieve your goals, and together finding the best path to help you heal and grow.
