As a Postdoctoral Fellow at Vegas Psychology and Mindfulness Center, I am working towards licensure as a psychologist in Nevada under the supervision of Dr. Whitney Koch Owens. I conduct psychotherapy with adults, couples, and groups, using established evidence-based practices. Additionally, I perform assessment and evaluation for select client populations. I completed my doctoral training in clinical psychology at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) where I continue to teach upper division courses for the Psychology Department.

Not currently accepting new clients. Therapy is an exceptionally intimate relationship, wherein our most personal and intense experiences are revealed and explored. I support my clients by working through their past and current difficulties often stemming from dysfunctional childhoods and addressing current relationships that are impacted by our past. When we explore to understand ourselves in deep and intimate ways, we can understand and change what keeps a meaningful and satisfying life out of reach. I have been coaching & counseling non-monogamous folks for nearly a decade and have identified as polyamorous since before I knew what to call it. My passion is helping poly/non-monogamous people feel seen, heard, and understood as they traverse the challenging landscape outside of the normative paradigm. Our work will focus on deep self-reflection while building strong boundaries and expansive communication skills.

I am committed to helping clients; those who internalize and struggle to find their voice and those who externalize and struggle to maintain a space for themselves outside of the opinions and labels of others. I help clients develop their own value system in utilizing their voice while learning to tap into reaching their full potential, however that may look. A major barrier to reaching one's potential or to experiencing a spectrum of healing beneficial to the client, is often rooted in trauma from childhood, adulthood, or that is on-going. I specialize in examining transgenerational trauma and its continued effects on the psyche.

Raquel O'Neill is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Nevada who has been practicing since 2016. Raquel offers clients empathy, compassion, genuine care, and the ability to provide different perspectives. She provides a steady guide to healing or questing for answers. Raquel has been trained and has experience with trauma informed therapy, CBT, DBT, grief and loss, coping to life-altering adjustments, solution focused therapy, radical acceptance, and is one of only two Certified Vision Rehabilitation Therapists in Nevada to help those experiencing vision loss at any age or stage of life.
