I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (Washington State and New Mexico), Nationally Certified School Psychologist, Prescribing Psychologist (New Mexico Only). I am an Affiliate Faculty in the PsyD Clinical Psychology Program at Antioch University, Seattle. My private practice (Lifespan Psychological Services, PS) with a primary location on Bainbridge Island, WA. The secondary location is in Las Cruces, NM. I also am also contracted, as a prescribing psychologist, with the Family Medicine Center at Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, NM.

Therapy can help people find solutions and reduce their anxiety, depression and daily turmoil, as they learn new ways to deal with life's problems. People experience "problems in living" in their every day lives. Free from judgment or unrealistic expectations, a therapeutic relationship can help deal with life issues. People attempt in inadequate ways to deal with them, and develop symptoms that are unique to them and are sometimes not helpful in dealing with their issues. A therapy relationship is a totally private, non-judgmental and personal relationship to help you deal with the problems in your life.

I work with individuals 18 years and older who are interested in working on customized goals in a collaborative manner. This practice is intended to provide clients a motivational and affirming experience as they choose Outcomes they wish to achieve. The intention is to help clients demonstrate resilience as they learn new ways to effect positive change in their lives. My approach is engagement, exploration and success. Success is reaching the Outcomes YOU set for yourself. Once you have in mind a basic idea of where you want to be, you will begin to move toward it.

In a non-judgmental approach from a strengths or systems perspective, I like to understand where my client is coming from, the things that are important to them and about them. In valuing the therapeutic relationship, we find that when we work together, clients overcome and achieve their desired goals. My passion in therapy in working with individuals by empowering them to develop fresh insights about their life, make healthier choices, reduce stress, and use coping skills; breathe work, mindfulness and meditation. The hope is seeing people grow to their highest potential.

I partner with adult clients who are motivated to make changes to their lives in positive ways. I serve clients struggling with: anxiety, depression, on-going suicidality, nightmares, anger, hypervigilance, flashbacks, hallucinations (both auditory and visual), delusions, dissociation, struggling to manage emotions, and/or acting impulsively. I also work with clients struggling with substance abuse including alcohol, methamphetamines, and/or opioids. I have extensive experience in working with the military/ veteran population in combat, sexual, and/ or gender harassment experiences resulting in trauma.
