Most commonly I utilize a client centered approach to help people with whom I work to identify difficulties they re experiencing and goals they have to improve their lives. Often, people come to counseling with a set of obstacles that keep presenting themselves, so we identify and develop strategies for moving past those.

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor dedicated to helping motivated individuals become more empowered in their own lives. I have worked in the mental health field for going on 10 years. In 2015, after experiencing the most painful personal upheaval of my life, I discovered that going for walks outside was a simple, yet fundamentally life-changing coping skill for me. I started my own private practice based on learning how to transmute anger, anxiety, depression, fear, grief, loss, and tears into strength through physical movement in my own life.

Welcome. I am your body positive, fat liberation, feminist therapist. I work best with binge eating, bulimia, and body image disorders. Disordered eating patterns are exhausting, and eventually create a disconnect from the body you inhabit. Your body is the greatest resource you have! I work from mostly somatic lenses, and the goal of somatic therapy is to reconnect back to yourself. Examples of somatic therapy is being asked questions such as, "What color is your anxiety?" or "What does your body need to feel safe right now?" Your body will talk to you; I will help you hear what it has to say.

The main client I hope to work with is one who may have struggled with the therapeutic process in the past I wish to demystify the experience and reach out a helping hand. It depends upon the needs of a client, one session or several sessions. I wish to hear what the client is in need of, and to give them the tools to carry out treatment.
