I believe in helping people put the pieces back together. I specialize in trauma issues, self esteem, depression, sex addiction and sexual trauma. Often trauma has a long lasting, but unknown effect on people. Resolving trauma leads to previously unknown levels of fulfillment. When a persons self-esteem is well functioning, their relationships often are also connected and intimate. Sexual addiction is treated in a stigma-free manner. I treat my clients with dignity throughout the process and facilitate a shame-free recovery.

Do you find yourself struggling to navigate your thought processes? Do you desire a safe space to figure out who you are at your core, and what your heart desires? Has past trauma caused you to second guess yourself and your desire to learn to trust yourself? Do you long to find healing and forgive yourself from past hurts? Maybe your child struggles with low self-esteem and anxiety. Congratulations on taking this great first step in seeking a counselor to walk alongside you on your healing journey!

Are you feeling disconnected from your partner, alone and lonely in what should be your most nourishing relationship? Perhaps your relationship has been reduced to little more than shouted insults or icy silences, and you wonder how it happened. As humans, we are hardwired to connect with others, and when our primary relationships are struggling, we can lose our sense of wholeness. Let me help you rediscover the joy of being a couple, with each partner feeling fully heard, appreciated, and cherished. I have a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy, with post-graduate training in all three levels of the Gottman Method.

“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom" (Anais Nin). You know when it's time to make a change - whether the struggle is depression, anxiety, past trauma, or perhaps a painful relationship - there comes a tipping point when you are ready to make that first step toward hope.

In this world full of stressors, we can easily end up feeling overwhelmed, unmotivated, or disconnected from ourselves and others. Finding someone who can help you work through these struggles can make a significant difference in living a more fulfilling life. I strive to help you do that in a safe, supportive environment in which you feel valued and accepted for who you are.

You know how it goes. Life gets hard, things happen, and we develop creative strategies to protect ourselves from real, perceived, and/or anticipated threats of suffering. These strategies, accumulated overtime, suddenly seem to shape much of how we interact with the world. Some are useful and their cost outweighs the pain they help avoid. Others seem so random you can’t even tell how they started; although, you suspect they no longer serve you. A third kind are the strategies you don’t know you’re using, their cause, cost or benefits. After a while, you may feel less connected, less whole, and may not feel and experience as deeply.

Life is messy! Are you longing to hear the words "Clean Up Aisle 7"? Let me assure you there is hope! Many of us struggle with anxiety and depression, grief and loss, trauma/abuse and codependency. Life is filled with all sorts of issues including family-of-origin issues, identity issues as well as boundary and relational issues. Often, we labor under these struggles and issues only to find ourselves overwhelmed by guilt and shame. It's time for a new beginning! You are not alone. Take that first step. And I'll bring the bucket!

Hello, my name is Beth and I celebrate your courage and wisdom in searching for this site! I celebrate the individual's strengths in a nonjudgmental collaboration. The mind-body-heart connection, awareness, and trust are the foundation of therapy. The goal is always for your voice to be heard and from that voice to move forward towards your heart's calling. It isn't just "mental health" it's about health- body, mind, and heart. When those three are working together- that is your voice. Well done for hearing your voice and courageously searching this site.
