I provide mental health care to a variety of individuals from children to adults with a focus on grief, loss, and working through life changes/challenges. My practice is person-centered, so the counselor (Michelle) follows the client (you). I may come to session with ideas for interventions or questions in mind, but these sessions are for you. I follow what you would like to use your sessions for, and work with you to create therapeutic goals. We may work on building coping skills, increasing self-esteem, or adapting to changes.

I work primarily with children who are experiencing difficulties in school, social settings and family life. Much of the training I have received has been in working with those with neuro-diversity in which I use models of self-advocacy, self-expression, and self-esteem in order to obtain growth toward client-based goals. Goals often include but are not limited to increasing awareness of emotional sensations, building coping skills, lowering symptoms of anxiety, depression and other mental health concerns and increasing relationship skills.

I work with couples struggling with infidelity, injuries to the relationship, and couples wanting to feel more connected. I work with individuals struggling with relationship issues and trauma. My personal and professional passion is to serve the community through social justice and emotional healing.
