I work with people age 14 and older and have found my passion in working especially with teens and young adults who are facing difficult life transitions, co-occurring mental illness, and low self-esteem or self-worth. I come from the belief that we are always doing our best in most situations especially in times of hardship or chaos. I want to help support you in creating the best version of yourself and then celebrate those successes. I value authenticity, empathy, compassion, and humor.

I work with loss and grief of all kinds, including ambiguous loss and disenfranchised grief. Whether you've lost someone through bereavement, the end of a relationship, or for some other reason, grief can bring many aspects of your life into question. Other kinds of losses may also be disorienting. Perhaps you're coping with the loss of a role or a place that's been important to your sense of who you are. Or you may fear you're losing touch with yourself as a result of trauma, or simply as a result of never having been seen in the fullness of who you are.

Finding ourselves stuck in problems that we can't seem to figure out isn't uncommon and asking for help isn't easy, but it is a brave first step. My hope is that once I have the opportunity to get to know you and your unique experiences, I can help you to develop the skills to manage life's challenges in a way that you can be proud of. I have worked with children, families and adults and tailor my practice to the individuals I serve. I strive to create a space that is safe, non-judgemental and considers the complexity of your life.

Authenticity and compassion are at the core of my work. I believe that true healing begins with an honest and genuine connection, and I prioritize creating an space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions without fear of judgment. By making room for you to tell your personal story we can shine a light on old relationship patterns, understand them, and discover new ways to move forward.

I help clients see that change and growth are an inside job. When people feel unhappy they often look to other people, career, money and substances to make them feel better. This doesn't work long-term and only creates dependencies that harm them. For many, struggles are rooted in childhood experiences with less than ideal parenting and attachment patterns. Helping my clients to resolve and move past family of origin wounds, identify and eliminate destructive beliefs from their childhood and the behavior created from these beliefs, allows clients the ability to embrace their own lives and opens the door into joy & personal freedom.

My goal in therapy is to help you know your value, and feel empowered to make the life you want. We can all feel tied down by old stories that no longer serve us. My role is to come along side you and help use the natural ways our body regulates, and mind communicates to help you find the truth in your story. Whether you are suffering the loss of someone you love, going through a major change in your life, desiring to be heard in your relationship or any of the other struggles that make us human, I would be honored to be a part of your journey.

You might be feeling anxious, depressed, stressed, or confused. Or maybe you are struggling with knowing how you are feeling. Perhaps life is moving too fast, too slow, or its transitions are becoming overwhelming for you. Whatever you are feeling, it is likely impacting different areas of your life—work, relationships, your passions, your faith, etc.—and you are seeking some sort of help or relief.

I believe that emotional symptoms, such as anxiety and depression, are ways that our bodies and minds communicate with us. Through really listening and being present with you, I will help you explore these messages, gain a deeper understanding of yourself, and heal old wounds. This process is profound in creating change, allowing you to experience more peace within yourself, live with more passion and presence, and improve the quality of your relationships. I am a licensed psychologist with a doctorate in clinical psychology. I have experience working with individuals of all ages who are seeking to live more full and engaged lives.

There are many aspects of life that pull us away from our authentic selves. You might be feeling lost, confused, critical, or disconnected and hoping to find a way to connect with yourself and others, but not sure how or where to start. Many of us are motivated to explore our identities and life purpose, especially during times of change and transition, and that can be a scary journey. Individual, relationship, and group counseling are great opportunities to allow yourself to actively take a step toward connection and fulfillment.
