Hello ! So, here we are ……..welcome ! We all have what I call “holes in the soul”: hurts, regrets, anger, grief & loss, unmet needs that occur or have resurfaced. If we go too much in the past, we are depressed; if too much in the future, we are anxious. Improving the quality of our lives is not just in ‘surviving’, but in working to move beyond it to LIVE, with better coping skills & relatedness, more awareness, yet balanced and at peace. It's SO about nurturance, trust, & connection !

It is my belief that we come into this world beautiful, whole and have gifts to bring to our lives, with a personhood uniquely our own. Along the way we may be knocked off center, becoming clouded in our way of being. We may lose sight of who we are, what we are capable of and how to navigate the waters of our lives. My intention is to support you in your process of finding your inner resources, your clarity in your present path, and strengthening who you are in your current life situations. I bring a warm, empathic, and intuitive approach to the process of moving through changes, challenges or transformations.

Sometimes you can manage it all by yourself. Sometimes your teen will quickly outgrow it. But, there are other times when you or your teen really could use some professional help. Whether it's distressing feelings or thoughts, difficult things that have happened, relationship problems, other stumbling blocks, or just a wish to change your life's course, we can figure it out together.

I whole heartedly believe that healing occurs when we invite others to step into our story and walk along side us in times of struggle, hurt, and unknown. Because of this, I consider it an honor and privilege to be able to join you in your search for healing and wholeness. Although I am equipped to work with individuals in any stage of life I am especially passionate about working with children, teens, and young adults struggling with anything from anxiety and depression to trauma and self discovery.

Note: My session rates are $110 for individuals and $150 for couples. I’m unable to take insurance. I specialize in working with those of us who are living with a dissociative disorder. Research shows a direct link from early childhood trauma to adulthood dissociative disorders, as well as autoimmune disorders. I'm a Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment (TIST) practitioner - an approach based on the Structural Dissociation model. I use Harville Hendrix's Imago relational model for system & couples work. I also teach Stephen Porges' Polyvagal approach. I’m trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy through Level ll.

I see therapy as such a gift to oneself when trying to make sense of one's identity, relationships, and purpose in this world. My clinical focus is on helping people cope with depression, anxiety, and stress during life transitions to remind my clients of their strengths and how these strengths can help them not only cope, but also celebrate these new chapters in their lives. I have extensive experience in health related issues, acculturation stressors, and on parenting stressors. I strive to create a space of safety that helps my clients feel heard and understood. I am bilingual (Spanish) and bicultural (Ecuadorian descent).

Life is constantly evolving with little opportunity to slow down, and it can be challenging to adapt to these changes. I hope to create a safe space for my clients that we can collaboratively create flexibility and compassion towards yourself working through these stressful times. I find meaning through meeting my clients where they are at and supporting them through their journey of introspection to find harmony and meaning in their lives.

I work with individuals struggling with the effects of unresolved trauma, which can look like experiences of anxiety, depression, and panic attacks, as well as challenges in relationships and sex life. My counseling incorporates a mind/ body approach that is based on an understanding of the neurobiology of trauma and that is highly attuned to cultural and societal context so as to promote more possibilities for healing. My aspiration is to support my clients to feel keenly aware of their sense of empowerment, agency, and wholeness in the present moment rather than feeling defenseless against overwhelming emotions and bodily states.

Whether your difficulties are related to past trauma, internalized negative messages you’ve received about yourself, anxiety about taking up space, or a need to be perfect and please others, I believe it’s never too late to start the journey of healing and self understanding. I specialize in trauma and PTSD recovery, family of origin issues, and identity exploration. I also help folks with a range of concerns, such as anxiety, depression, identity related stress, and academic/work issues.

My work with clients supports their emotional and relational well-being by exploring what gets in their way from living the way they desire. I weave extensive experience in working with complex trauma with systems work - exploring the ways in which the context we are surrounded by, deeply impacts our ability to live an embodied life. My clients often come to me because they have been to therapy before and are looking for a direct approach that supports them in moving out of pure awareness, and into embodied living. Embracing the present moment while moving towards change.

Any client with: phobias/fears they can/cannot place. PTSD. Unresolved traumas. Poor behaviors of overeating, smoking, etc.. Current Life or Past Life issues, or just a curiosity about Past Lives. Pain levels that need to be managed. Loved ones, or yourself, that are in need of Hospice or End of Life Transition. Symptoms that have manifested and do not disappear with medical help. These issues, and so much more, may be resolved with Hypnosis or Hypnotherapy.
