When our relationships aren't working, it can effect all areas of our lives. Whether the problem is communication, sex, intimacy, or facing change, it can be invaluable to have someone guide you to achieve your goals - providing perspective, encouragement, empowerment, and even an occasional kick in the butt. I will help you set and pursue your goals - becoming your best asset, not your own worst enemy. I do this in a LGBTQ-affirrmative and alternative lifestyle-friendly space. Supporting safe, sane, and consensual choices and options.

Are you feeling overwhelmed, alone, and dissatisfied with your life? Are you apprehensive about finding the right therapist? I can help. I see individuals with a variety of issues, including difficulty coping with stress, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and grief. Clients tell me I am supportive, a good listener, engaging, and insightful. I am an active therapist, meaning I don't just nod and listen but actually speak up, give feedback, teach skills, and encourage. I help people see themselves more clearly and learn new, healthier ways of living.

Have you found yourself overwhelmed by the weight of past trauma either from childhood abuse, intergenerational trauma, or sexual assault & feeling stuck with the memories playing out in your head? Or maybe you’ve been saying “I need to get back to my old self,” or “I’ve been dealing with a lot lately” & hoping for the insight or tools to change that? I work with adults & LGBTQIA folks just like you: ones that have it within them to thrive again after trauma & life challenges, but just need the support to tap into their strengths to get there or support gathering & sorting pieces of life to make sense of everything.

Hello and welcome. I believe that when someone is searching for a therapist, they want to find someone who will listen, not judge, and who is warm and supportive. One of my goals is to create a working environment together, where you feel comfortable revealing what topics bring you in, and where I can help you by listening, not judging, and using my training and years of experience to be the therapist you are looking for. Some subjects are hard to talk about. I realize this, and will make the process as easy and comfortable as possible for you.

Do you struggle with perfectionism, anxiety, self-doubt, or hopelessness? Are past traumas or patterns playing out in your present-day relationships? Are you facing challenges navigating food, exercise or body image? Maybe you've tried therapy before but didn't feel understood, still feel stuck, and need a new, creative approach that's designed uniquely for you—not a one-size-fits-all. If you've been weighed down by past experiences and are struggling to find clarity, purpose, direction, or confidence in life, you've found a place where your struggles are understood and your bravery in seeking help is deeply respected.

Throughout my many years of experience, I have seen many clients, each person with a unique set of circumstances to cope with. Anxiety and depression may factor into their life arc, some may be dealing with grief or past traumas, and others may have issues with their self-image. When assessing couples (I am both LPC and LMFT, so I frequently see clients with a variety of needs), I've noticed that the main issues that I offer assistance with tend to be communication issues that then lead to conflict. Clients that come to me actively want to improve their lives, and it is my pleasure to support them by meeting them where they are.

I love supporting people in getting as close to the truth of their situation as possible, because I believe the truth is where you will find your happiness. This has been true for me in my own life. I know very personally what a difference it makes to be understood in a deep and consistent way.

We all seek a comfortable balance between the demands of our daily lives, but sometimes even the balancing act itself can become a source of stress. I put great emphasis on developing a therapeutic relationship with each client I work with in order to develop a sense of trust. I am a safe environment for you to fall into, but I am also the side of the mirror we often avoid. It is on that other side of the mirror where we may find breakthrough, self-worth, and growth. I am dedicated to fostering a non-judgmental environment for you to work through everything you are feeling to heal and improve your quality of life.

If you've dreaded going to bed because you know it will be yet another night of tossing and turning, you know how desperate you can be to get some shuteye. It's possible you're even reading this at 3am. You may have tried everything--medications, natural supplements, meditation, oils, etc.--and nothing seems to work! It can be frustrating when you used to sleep so easily. You begin to feel like your insomnia has a life of its own, feeling drowsy on your commute to work, drinking cup after cup of coffee to make it through your day. You look on jealously at your partner or kid, who seem to sleep so effortlessly. It feels unfair!

Career – check. Family – check. Emotional needs – meh. Is there a feeling that everything is in its rightful place except your head space? You may worry that that you’re not doing enough for everyone that you support for fear of letting them, or even yourself down. Maybe your to-do list keeps growing because your desire to do everything perfectly leaves tasks unfinished. You may sometimes feel guilt or shame for not meeting expectations. The desire to hold things together may make you feel overwhelmed, overworked, and unheard. You find yourself being more self–critical and possibly self-sabotaging.
