Although starting counseling can be a difficult, I believe that walking into a counselor's office takes strength and courage. I work with adult clients 22 and older who have experienced ADHD, anxiety, depression, OCD, and substance abuse to grow in their confidence and understanding of themselves and I work with them to develop skills they can utilize to reach their therapy goals. Through our sessions, clients feel empowered, make choices aligned with their goals, and can create healthier relationships with themselves and others.

Are you feeling stuck or trapped with behaviors or thoughts that no longer serve you? Maybe you have seen a few therapists, talked endlessly about your trauma, learned coping skills, and you know in your mind that it’s over and in the past but your body still feels disconnected, on high alert, or both. I am certified in EMDR Therapy, a trauma-focused therapy that works with our brain’s natural capacity to digest difficult experiences that keep us stuck. Whether your lived experiences have led you to struggle with depression, intrusive trauma symptoms, or relationship difficulties; I am here to carry it with you.

Hi, I'm Adam Pearson. I have a Master's in Clinical Psychology and was trained by a Psychiatrist for two years. I use a variety of techniques and tools. Therapy is typically 8-16 weeks; around eight weeks, your symptoms should go from Severe to Moderate, and 16-18 weeks, moderate to mild. I practice from a faith-based perspective, but all are welcome. You can text, call, or email; I typically see a new patient within 48-72 hours. I had PTSD, Depression, and OCD and am now free. Now it's your turn! This is where you learn to love and like yourself, maybe for the first time. I have helped 1000s. This is your flying lesson!

Being a mom is your hardest job. We carry A LOT and we expect a lot from ourselves. Being a mom, too, I get it. You try hard to be patient, but in no time, you're yelling and wishing you could escape from it all! You're angry with your partner for not getting it. You're angry with yourself for not being "better." You feel like you're failing everyone. You can't figure out how to make it all okay. As a struggling mom myself, I get it. It feels isolating and painful to want to be the best mom/partner you can be, yet feel like you're disappointing the most important people in your life.

Hi there. I’m not sure what has taken place in your life to search for a counselor, but I imagine you as brave for doing just that. The idea of opening the door into change is a risky prospect – what will the journey be like on the other side? Sometimes the unknown in itself is enough to keep us married to our current predicament. And yet, there’s still a part of you (however large or small right now) that wonders about something different. I think of that part as Hope. Hope stirs curiosity inside of us and invites us to reimagine our circumstances. Hope has led you here.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I bring 22 years of clinical experience to my private practice. I have been fortunate to work in a variety of settings as a clinician and supervisor, including non-profit mental health agencies, private practice settings, and for the last 8 years as the Lead Education Support Counselor in a school setting. This experience has allowed me to have a better understanding of the challenges in both the home and school settings when children are struggling. I use a variety of clinical interventions and never lose focus on the importance of building a strong relationship with my clients.

You're feeling like something is wrong. You're afraid this is what life is like now, your new normal. You don't recognize yourself. Maybe you don't know where or when things went left, maybe you do. Either way, you're angry and sad and confused. You're thinking it might be your fault.

I am informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as a basis for emotional processing and behavior change. I am deeply committed to respecting each person's individual experience and work to identify tools and interventions that fit the needs of each person. I believe in an integrative health model exploring the mind, body and environment. I believe that exploring the use of mindfulness techniques can have powerful positive effects with individuals who are open. My aim is to support individuals into awareness of their personal strengths and to encourage growth and healing from within, despite the external circumstances.

What are you noticing about your life? How you answer that question will determine where you're headed and whether or not it's where you want to be. It's not for me to say what that is, or even if it's right or wrong. That's up to you. Equine assisted psychotherapy is one of the most unique and effective ways to experience yourself and how you impact the world around you. It's life changing and a powerful way to gain new insight into yourself. What you do with that can be a challenge so there's more to the story.
