There are so many reasons people want to go to therapy: to learn more about themselves and their relationships, to process life events, to share things that are difficult to share with other people, to be vulnerable, or to explore how past experiences have shaped them. You don’t need to be in a crisis to benefit from therapy. It can be a wellness tool that is useful for maintaining a healthy, balanced lifestyle.

Sometimes life throws you a curveball or two. Some people have been dealt a difficult card from the start. I believe we all possess the tools needed to get through times of adversity, but at times, may need a little guidance. Having an objective ally to cheer you on can really make the difference in reaching your goals and feeling confident along the way. I strive to create a stimulating, comfortable, and safe place for people to be vulnerable. I tend to have a relaxed conversational style, while using evidenced based materials and approaches. I am committed to jumping in the muck with you so we can find solutions together.

As a couple and family therapist, I am interested in learning more about your struggles and challenges from a systemic and relational framework. Approaching these from an antiracist lens, we will work collaboratively to uncover some of the contexts in which you may have learned to relate to others, and how your own family of origin stories and experiences continue to shape how you communicate and work through conflict in your relationships. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming, and enjoy working with couples, adolescents aged 6-12, teens, and families of all formations.
