Hello, I'm Michelle Ferris, a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with a deep passion for helping individuals heal and providing LGBTQ+ affirming care. My journey in therapy is all about empowerment, resilience, and celebrating the unique qualities that make you, you.

For nearly two decades I have had the honor of supporting individuals on their journey toward healing and growth. I take an active, collaborative, and individualized treatment approach. I work from a trauma-informed lens utilizing insight-oriented, family systems, ego state, and EMDR therapies. I have expertise in depression, anxiety, PTSD, relationship difficulties, and self-identity exploration. I also help people navigate life transitions, such as early adulthood, career choices, grief and loss, and retirement, in addition to other life transitions. I offer hourly sessions, extended sessions for EMDR and am fluent in Spanish.

I offer coffee, tea, bottled water and talk therapy in a comfortable environment. I offer a place to share your problems, concerns and life issues with a caring therapist who will hold your confidences in a safe space. We can work together in a collaborative environment to resolve personal, professional, emotional, transitional concerns, grief and fears. I am present with you and we'll have an interactive relationship. In addition to talk therapy, I offer EMDR which is a highly effective trauma resolution therapy, for both large and small traumas. When I was looking for my first therapist, I wanted someone older and smarter to tell me what to do, how to take the pain away. Twenty five years and six therapists later, I want a Sherpa - someone who's been where I have yet to go to show me that it's possible. I've already lived through several lifetimes. I've sat through the havoc of a divorce and the shame of causing pain to my children, the confusion of starting anew, the anxiety of dating, the elation of a new love and a crushing heartbreak of a betrayal. The agonizing loneliness of falling asleep in an empty bed and the complete inability to get up the next morning.

My goal as a therapist is to understand you as a whole person and your thought process and challenge some of those existing thought patterns, behaviors, and frameworks.
