As a combat Veteran I know that service to others doesn’t end once the term of enlistment expires. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I would like to extend my service by providing focused mental health treatment to those suffering with PTSD, anxiety, stress, bereavement, moral injury, and other trauma-related experiences. I also am of particular service to current and former military, police, firefighter, and EMT personnel.

I see counseling as a space where we can collaborate towards your goals for therapy- whether that’s processing current challenges, recovering from past trauma, or exploring your future. I received my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Dominican University and for the past decade I have continued to discover new methods to assist my clients.

I have training and experience working with children and adolescents on issues such as anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns and developmental disorders. I enjoy doing work on parenting and improving family functioning by treating the whole family system. Of particular interest to me is helping individuals who are on the autism spectrum and their families learn healthy ways to find success in daily life. I also enjoy working with young adults who have cognitive and developmental challenges transition towards independence. In my work with adults, I often treat a variety of issues such as anxiety, depression and life transition.

Holding a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and bringing years of experience in the medical field (EMS), I have gained a deep understanding of the complex challenges individuals encounter in both their professional and personal lives. I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and families in outpatient, residential, and school settings. I provide psychotherapy as well as psychological testing if needed. I completed my post-doctoral training working with children and adolescents on the Autistic Spectrum including those with sensory integration issues, co-morbid ADHD, and learning disorders. What makes me unique is that I have also worked with children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral disorders (e.g., anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ODD, OCD, ADHD, conduct disorder, and PTSD). I am particularly interested in women's issues and family therapy. I am also fluent in Polish.

Shawn earned his Master's Degree in Counseling from National Louis University and received his Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy from Lake Forest College. I began my career working in Mchenry County SASS which was the child and adolescent crisis response team. During that time I developed and honed skills that resonate with children and adolescents in order to help determine core issues and work towards action plans on how to progress on those issues. Anxiety, depression, and other symptoms can decrease your quality of life and make you feel not like yourself.

Katrina Muenster is a Licensed Professional Counselor who graduated Summa Cum Laude from Roosevelt University with a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Psychology (Counseling Practice). Katrina has garnered many culturally diverse experiences from working with individuals in community mental health settings, working with students in school settings, and working as a first responder for mental health crisis at hospitals in DuPage County. Katrina understands that the decision to seek a therapist is often a vulnerable and at times difficult decision to make.

Dr. Michelle Hansen, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, is guided by compassion for the human experience in assisting her clients. She specializes in providing psychological testing services for her clients as the underlying cause for difficulties in cognitive, learning, emotional, or interpersonal difficulties is not always clear. Dr. Hansen's goals in assessment services are helping her clients discover their strengths and utilizing their challenges as opportunities to promote personal and interpersonal growth.

Well, I can definitely reassure you that, yes, while therapy can be scary, if your therapist is able to create a warm environment, making you feel seen and heard, it can very quickly become an appointment we look forward to! Nicole Kothe, LPC, helps clients overcome challenges by finding their strengths. She works with teens and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, motivation issues, stress, and more. Nicole received an undergraduate degree from Hope College and an MSED from Northern Illinois University. Her career includes over two decades of experience as a middle and high school counselor where she served students with various social, emotional, and academic issues. In therapy, Nicole uses a client-centered approach and also incorporates mindfulness. Her goal is for each client to feel heard and gain the skills they need to move forward.

Brad Gee is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois who has been practicing since 2019. Brad offers a listening ear and a compassionate and honest style of therapy discussion. He will offer homework if the patient is receptive and is able and willing to work through many areas of concern. Brad’s clients can expect a warm, inviting, supportive, and caring therapist. In his free time, Brad enjoys hiking, being in nature, swimming, traveling, spending time with his family and pets, video games, and reading.

Allison serves clients of all ages struggling with depression, ADHD, life transitions, stress, and more. She is also especially skilled at treating mood, psychotic, and anxiety disorders. In addition, Allison has extensive experience working with people who at high-risk or in crisis situations. In therapy, Allison tailors her treatment to meet individual needs.
