I know how hard it can be to find a therapist with which you can connect. I am hoping this profile gives you a preview of how you and I can work together so that you can live a more authentic and meaningful life. My niche is working with people who identify as LGBTQIA+ and I am an ally to the BIPOC community. I enjoy working with young adults and adults. I have over 22 years of experience helping people who struggle with anxiety, depression, and substance use. I like working with people who are going through difficult life transitions and are interested in fostering their confidence and resiliency.

Anxiety, depression, and relational conflicts are what I and my associates' work with Most. Life is a journey with many transitions. Each one of the transition means going from something we know to something we don't. We are excited or apprehensive about what our future holds for us. And, we can be relieved or sad about what or who we are leaving. These life transitions can be challenging or enriching. Whatever they are they can be stressful. Behavioral health providers focus on being a guide to help you on your journey to understand and choose the right path for you while supporting you in your process of change.

Clients often come to me because they struggle with anxious or depressive symptoms and don't know how to improve. They are often surprised to learn that underlying these symptoms are often seemingly unrelated beliefs and feelings about relationships - particular relationships and relationships in general - that they didn't even know were there. Often clients believe that there is something "wrong" with them and their mental health, not understanding that with the right language to tell their story they often find that they make perfect sense! In addition to relationships and Schema, I also explore personality, values, and goals.

No, I don't think you are the same as anyone else. I don't think I have all the answers. I don't even know you yet. What I do know, is that I am willing to work with you to change the course of the next chapter of your life. I know that I truly appreciate the uniqueness of your life story. I know I want to help you meet YOUR goals, not the goals someone else has for you. I know that together we could create something different if you are tired of every day being the same.

We are a child and family psychology practice. My associates and I believe in a cooperative treatment experience where client and therapist share responsibility for the identification and mutual direction of problem solving strategies. We are convinced of the importance of involving significant others in the treatment process when possible. Often children and adolescents react to problems in the context of school and family. We value feedback from teachers and staff professionals and look for collaborative relationships in pursuing the best needs of the child or adolescent.
