I am a second generation Korean-American born and raised on the unceded ancestral lands of the Dxʷdəwʔabš (Duwamish Tribe) and now live as a guest upon Mni Sóta Maḳoce, Dakota homeland. My relational approach is built upon 15+ years working with and alongside individuals, families and communities to nurture growth as an educator, coach, trainer and leader. Becoming a parent in 2014 both broke and broke me open, ushering personal and intergenerational healing and cultural reclamation that continues today. A lifelong learner, I continue to journey along a path towards “Becoming a Good Ancestor” (credit: Layla Saad).

I truly believe that all human beings have the ability to be mentally well; however, I recognize there are life experiences that can affect the human spirit deeply, guiding you to believe you are damaged, unlovable, or mentally unwell. It is my passion to guide people back to seeing themselves and life through a more positive lens where hope can be awakened and where peace, security, contentment, and joy can be found. I believe all people are affected by life's hardships differently, however we all have one thing in common: the ability to be well.

I'm an Italian-/Irish-American, cis-, queer, always-aspiring-to-be-justice-doing, tarot-card-pulling art witch and half-assed-Buddhist who also happens to be a therapist. This is transformative change work that values your inherent wisdom and lived experience. My work is truly affirming, rooted in the idea that unconditional love for ourselves, when combined with our innate creativity and knowing, is the strongest healing power we have.

I am passionate about working with families, couples, and individuals who are managing both physical and mental health conditions or couples/families going through various life transitions, and relational stress. We don't exist in isolation, especially when on the long journey of chronic health care. What does this chapter of life look like? What is possible?

NOT taking new clients. I see therapy a as the unfolding of a unique relationship that creates the safety needed to explore the vulnerable, often unseen aspects of ourselves (and parts of ourselves that we might not yet even know about). Change is slow as we develop deeper awareness of our ways of relating, thinking, and feeling, and discover new ways of being in the world. I see our early attachments as central to our development and worldview, as well as the culture in which we are embedded. I seek to provide a space in which we can be real together in a culture that so often asks us to mask.

Sometimes life’s challenges can feel overwhelming, making it seem as if we have little control over the path our lives are taking. Trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, low self-esteem, and other life challenges can make ordinary life difficult to navigate. I provide a supportive, non-judgmental environment that allows my clients to gain mastery over their situation rather than allowing their circumstances to run their lives. My therapeutic approach is culturally sensitive, collaborative, unique to each client, and focuses on client strengths.
