Hi there, my name is Dr. Smith and I’m a clinical psychologist licensed in Ohio, Texas, and Kansas. I have nearly two decades of experience working with various populations and age groups. I joined WellQor in May 2019 as a lead psychologist, and I’m now a Clinical Director overseeing a large team of mental health professionals. My team is responsible for the evaluation, care planning, and treatment of adults with mental health issues ranging from mild depression and anxiety to more serious diagnoses.

A licensed social worker(LSW) I graduated with my masters of Social Work from The Ohio State University. I enjoy working with clients (age 16 and up) on a variety of challenges. I received MS in Counseling &Art Therapy from Ursuline College. In 15 years, including in Cleveland Clinic hospitals, I have been inspired by my clients’ resilience even in dark times.

I completed my Masters in Social work at Cleveland State University and have since gained valuable experience in working with those who face substance use problems and addictions as well as survivors of trauma. I knew from a very young age that helping people was part of who I am. I love walking with people as they explore themselves and gain insight, discover their strengths, and work toward healing. I believe that many of my own experiences in life, both happy and painful, shaped and gave me opportunities to grow and become who I am. I try to build on those experiences as I walk with my clients in their life journeys.

The hallmark of my counseling style is to facilitiate learning that goes beyond a "head" level, and is also integrated in the heart. I will teach you techniques, such as EFT and hypnosis, which you can use in your daily lives to eliminate symptoms, feel better, and interact more effectively with those around you.
