I crafted PEACE Center, LLC. to serve neurodivergent children and families in the Auburn community. I use a team approach to better provide tailored interventions and a higher level of care. Though I use play and am trained for trauma and anxiety, my expertise is with neurodivergent children, adolescents, and very new adults and their supports -- especially those with Tics, OCD, ADHD, and Autism. My goal is to come alongside through affirming, creating allies, advocates, community, and connection to resources through the use of a variety of therapeutic interventions, intentional partnerships, research and training, groups, and more.

I consider it a great honor to walk with you in your journey. I approach therapy and counseling through a trauma-informed, attachment based lens. Prior to pursuing a career in counseling, I spent 25 years in the field of physical therapy working with those suffering from physical pain. This previous experience in working with those suffering physically has given me insight into how our emotional and physical well-being are two sides of the same coin. Because of this experience, I strive to approach counseling from a holistic perspective paying close attention to the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of each person.

My passion in counseling is to see clients grow by moving towards healthier ways of coping with stress and other life challenges. I have over 15 years of experience working with school-aged children and adults, dealing with a wide range of issues such as motivational difficulties, social adjustment, negative self-image, assertiveness, positive parenting, grief and loss, obsessive thinking, and self-hurtful behavior.

My speciality is working with individuals struggling with emotional regulation issues that are interfering with their professional and personal lives. Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy are my theoretical orientations. I am a certified DBT therapist. I am also a supervising counselor in Alabama and have extensive experience in providing supervision to individuals seeking state sanctioned licensure as a licensed professional counselor.

Dr. Britt earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Auburn University in 1998. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Alabama Psychological Association. She has worked in the Auburn-Opelika community for the last 21 years. Her practice is focused on providing effective, research-based therapeutic treatment to address both clinical problems as well as overwhelming stress in today's world. The clients seen in Dr. Britt's practice range from adolescence through adulthood.

Trevor strives to help clients realize the power they naturally possess. He believes all have an infinite capacity for healing and growth and is passionate about healthy connection with oneself and others.
