I work with children as young as 5, teens, and adults. I help my clients become the best version of themselves. I teach coping skills to help clients manage stress and the hardships that life gives us. My goal is to give you a safe, non-judgmental space to process your emotions.

Life is hard. It can be beautiful and wonderful, and sometimes very hard. It is my passion to walk alongside people as they learn to navigate life’s challenges. If that looks like processing trauma, life changes, anxiety, relationship issues, or a combination of challenges, my goals are your goals. In my office I advocate for restored hope, even through dark deep emotions. I strive to provide a safe and supportive space to work through difficult emotional experiences. You are not alone in life’s journey, and it is my hope to help you discover your strengths so you can experience freedom from painful experiences.

You keep replaying the incident in your mind even when you don’t want to. The event has left you feeling on edge and afraid. You can’t relax and it’s impossible to be in public without looking over your shoulder. You can’t stay anywhere too long, or you fear you will come apart. People around you don’t understand and tell you to get over it. You wish you could simply get over it, but this event has taken over your life. You don’t recognize yourself, and you don’t think you can ever be the person you were before. You can’t sleep or focus. You believe the incident was your fault and think of things you should have done differently.

Without conscious awareness, our past can hold us captive but it doesn't have to! Utilizing research-proven therapy techniques, I believe you can break cycles and become the person you were always meant to be. Not in spite of your struggles but actually because of them. That's called post-traumatic growth and I consider it an honor, truly, to walk alongside you on this journey.

My name is Alexa Da Rosa and I am a LPC in Mobile, AL. I am originally from San Diego, CA and came to Alabama to go to school and play softball. I found my love for psychology at a early age and love working with adolescents, teenagers, young adults, and adults. My scope of expertise includes but is not limited to: Anxiety, depression, PTSD, couples complications, marriage dysfunction, transitional barriers, family dysfunction, LGBTQ+ struggles, addiction, grief, divorce, behavioral complications, etc.

Some stages of life can be tough, finding relevant help that is measurable shouldn't be. Compass II Life exists solely for youth, couples, & families in need of brief therapy & support, yet with results the family can measure. Day & evening appointment availability for support with parenting, anxiety/depression, anger management, respect for parents/authority, purpose, marriage counseling, & more. Different by design, my practice targets a new approach to the delivery of mental health care & mentoring for youth/families across the Gulf Coast. Telehealth remains available for those in need of remote services or support.
