I am part of the team at the The Aguirre Center for Inclusive Psychotherapy, which provides Individual, Relationship, and Group Psychotherapy as well as Psychological Assessment. We believe that you deserve to work with someone who understands and affirms the complexities of your identities. I work to create an environment in which clients can examine and better understand themselves and the challenges they face. I have particular expertise in working with addiction/substance abuse; trauma; sexual orientation and gender identity (LGBTQIA+); and issues related to experiencing racism, sexism, and other forms of oppression.

My professional strengths consist of working with adults and providing them with an individualized space that supports them in exploring their authentic self and beyond. My goal is to provide you with a safe, genuine, and honest space that allows you to grow forward in this journey we call life. Although my primary counseling approach is person - centered, I do lean into other modalities as needed. I value and place firm emphasis on self-determination and working in tandem.

I provide healing services using art therapy, psychotherapy, hypnotherapy, play therapy, DBT, EMDR and others. I work from a strength-based approach to meet you where you are. I believe the therapeutic relationship is sacred and that each person, couple, family or group is different, with different needs. It is through my life experience, training, and education that I am able to work creatively with you to meet your needs and goals. I provide therapeutic services to groups, individuals of all ages, families and couples, and have extensive experience working with individuals and families struggling with addiction and codependency.

As a trans person of color, I know firsthand that those who hold marginalized identities often are told to remain silent and invisible. I practice with the principle that the therapeutic space belongs to the client. I prioritize my clients’ voices and introspections and consider the influences of systemic oppression and generational trauma on each client’s life. I believe healing is found when we can connect to ourselves and others.

I believe you are on the journey to become who you already are and who you are is infinitely complex. Often times external influences, circumstances, events, or relationships block you from living in the fullness of your complexity, and this can lead to psychological distress. I work with clients and couples to surface these conscious and unconscious barriers to growth so that you can lead a life responsive to who you are rather than reactive to what is going on around you. My hope is that, together, you discover not just relief from symptoms but optimal psychological functioning and deeply satisfying relationships.

My foundation is in working with those with mood disorders, trauma, emotional regulation issues, substance use disorders, couples, individuals, and college students. Along with those dealing with grief, co-dependency and parenting needs. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker and completed my graduate work at Walden University and my undergraduate work at Hampton University. I am dedicated to working with you, to address the whole you, holistically, without judgement.

I've been working with adolescents and their parents for nearly 40 years. I have enjoyed helping families navigate the adolescent experience dealing with issues of parenting practices, adolescent self esteem and social development and issues of sexuality and sexual identity.

Security, stability, balance - these three words come to mind when I think of ultimate human desire; to feel safe, stable and overall a sense of balance within our lives; at times we may feel these are not being met. His primary focus is the enablement and facilitation of self-sufficiency, development and growth of mental health. As a Sickle Cell Patient and Advocate, our practice is the only Warrior run mental health service in the State of Georgia that specializes in Sickle Cell Warrior Mental Health, among a number of other Mental Health services.
