You hurt when your child hurts. As their parent, you just want to ease their pain. Being unable to do this can be heart-breaking but also frustrating and exhausting. Communication can require so much energy. Sometimes those efforts even cause conflict between you and your child. These times are confusing and difficult for everyone in the home. How else was I going to fix my life after my parents damaged it :-) After growing up in foster care, I spent decades feeling lost & helpless. At 37, I finally learned how to heal myself. I went on to attain my PhD, a Hypnotherapy degree, authored books & courses. My clinical training includes working in substance abuse facilities, a psychiatric hospital, w/ military & foster children, all of which I've loved. Now I teach how the mind and nervous system work together so you can re-regulate them & transmute old traumas & stress.

I am always drawn to the line in a poem by Rumi that states, "Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I’ll meet you there." It is a summation of what therapy should be.
