I work with adults and adolescents (16 and up) experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, abuse, life transitions, ADHD, and women’s issues. My training is in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and my work is informed by Internal Family Systems, mindfulness practice, narrative therapy, and existentialism. I view mental health through the lens of the whole person: emotional, physical, spiritual, and relational. My approach to every session is trauma-informed and client-centered.

Negative self thoughts, trauma, and the fear of stigma can often lead to hiding parts of ourselves. When there is an imbalance between our inner selves and what we present to the world around us, it can cause us to experience feelings of anxiety, depression, guilt, and shame. I strive to help empower my clients to live happier lives. Our world can be so hectic and fast paced and sometimes we just need someone to listen.I can be that person. I believe there is a strong connection between body, mind, and spirit. All of these parts of ourselves need to be in line. I have experience working with individuals and families. I also do couples therapy.

For me, therapy is a first and foremost relationship between myself and a client. The focus is you, what you bring into the therapy room, your emotions, your lived experiences, and your hopes, fears, needs, desires, and wish for a different experience in life. I’ve always liked to listen and observe the world around me, and I like to bring that side of me into the therapy room with you. I enjoy working with adults of all ages in individual counseling. I can help you find your way through depression, anxiety, illness, disability, loss, grief and trauma. Counseling will help with any adjustment. Change is difficult whether it is living on your own for the first time, relocating to a new area, making a career move, getting married, getting divorced or retiring. The physical and mental health changes that occur with aging are particularly challenging. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is of utmost importance and want you to feel safe to share and explore your life.
