Welcome to Soul Wellness Services! As a Black Caribbean woman, I'm aware of the social and cultural stigma often associated with mental health in our community. Issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and loss can be challenging to deal with. For Black and Indigenous People of Color, these issues are often compounded by the stress and emotional exhaustion of code-switching, racial trauma, racism, discrimination, and other challenges specific to our community.

Hi! I’m a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Therapist and I provide both individual and family therapies. I have experience working with a diverse range of ages from early childhood through adolescence, and adulthood. When working with children I suggest and encourage parental involvement, so that the child has consistent support outside of sessions. I will provide parents and families with therapeutic interventions, resources, education, and support.

In today's climate, life is full of challenges that can make one feel anxious, overwhelmed, and uncertain about tomorrow. I believe everyone deserves a space to process, heal, and experience empathy and validation. Good outcomes in therapy can be expected if you feel the therapist genuinely cares and has your best interest in heart and mind. Your therapist must also have skill, knowledge, and experience with clinically proven therapy techniques. I provide both to you as my client.

Intentional Connections, PLLC (I.C.) addresses life's issues. People often have thoughts, feelings, and or decisions to make, where it's beneficial to have someone to listen and receive support for better outcomes. I.C. will help to increase positive moments, leading to self-discovery and a better quality of life. I enjoy working with women, teens 16+, and blended families as well as pre-marital, married, and dating couples. I am experienced with adulting, anger management, anxiety, depression, faith and spiritual issues, peer relationships, people pleasers, relationship issues, self-esteem, women issues, work-life balance, and trauma. I welcome clients to join me outside for Walk & Talk therapy (weather permitting). Also, when mutually agreed, I enjoy integrating Christian principles into therapy.

I have experience working with those who are struggling with major life changes/experiences, depression, and anxiety.

Thank you for visiting my page. The ideal individual I work with is one who identifies that they need help in some area of their life and are willing to work with me to make their lives better. I work with individuals suffering from depression and anxiety; I specialize in working with couples (married or not) and families. Individuals I work with struggle with life's issues (divorce, financial, health, relational) to mood disorders. Typically their goal is to "feel better" or to "fix their relationship". My promise is to work diligently to assist them in achieving their goals using various methods in which to do so.

Overall, I believe that therapy is a place to learn and heal from current and past experiences. My primary goal as a counselor is to empower and provide skills to clients to help them flourish. I see children, adolescent, and adult populations, implementing an integrative approach, with a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy. This means that I use many techniques and models, but I like to focus on current goals/solutions and altering unhelpful thinking patterns.

I work with clients who feel like they are struggling or feeling overwhelmed. My clients experience a range of mental heath concerns such as depression, anxiety, and other diagnoses. They would all tell you I provide a safe place for you to grow and get to where you want to be. Therapy doesn't have to be hard. We will laugh, cry, be serious, and grow all during therapy.

I work with clients who are athletes or other high achievers who are struggling with stress or balance in their lives. Many of my clients generally function well but need to work through a relationship issue, or want to learn to better manage anxiety. Many of my clients are also working through identity issues related to gender or sexuality, faith crisis work, motherhood, or being defined by their sports performance (i.e. Who am I besides someone who is really good at my sport?). An unhealthy emphasis on perfectionism when it comes to body image, performance, or religion is a common issue I help clients work through.

I've been a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Therapist (LCMHC) and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS) for the past 10 years. I love what I do! I really enjoy helping individuals who struggle with perfectionism, people-pleasing, and setting healthy boundaries.
