I am so glad you are here. Seeking help is a hopeful, important step in acknowledging that something is causing you pain or getting in the way of you living your most authentic and fulfilling life. Our relationship is built on my trust that you have the ability to heal from life’s challenges, even when you may feel confused, angry, deeply sad, worried, bereaved, or overwhelmed. I believe you are the expert on you, and I will partner with you to help you uncover the tools you already possess to: help you explore ways to cope with stressors; and help you discover new ways to nurture and care for yourself and your loved ones.

It is time for you to be empowered, time for you to leave your worries at the door, time to create a safe space to process your stressors, and redefine your feelings/thoughts/distress. I have been a therapist for over 10 years and believe that therapy is a team approach. You have the voice to work together to create your own new path. Each person is unique and the therapeutic approach should be that way as well. I do not believe in therapy being a "one shoe fits all" approach and as a result I am more of an eclectic therapist.

Are you finding it difficult to move beyond your trauma? Are experiencing high startle response, emotional numbness, or overwhelm? At W.E.A.V.E. Holistic Therapy, I specialize in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy, a structured and evidence-based approach to processing trauma. EMDR facilitates the brain’s natural healing process by using bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements) to help desensitize trauma memories and reprocess them into more adaptive, integrated experiences. Whether you’re struggling with childhood, racial trauma, or attachment struggles, EMDR can guide you toward long-term healing.

Hello. I am a clinical social worker in Maryland. I have almost 20 years of experience in assisting clients in working through life stressors that can cause anxiety, depression and overall discontent with their situation. I am very personable and trustworthy, taking time to build rapport with my clients so they feel they can share even the most upsetting or embarrassing details of the situation with me. I take a nonjudgmental, reflective approach, meaning, I let the client guide our process determining which issues to address at what time.

Holding safe spaces for people to get to know, like, and love themselves in new ways is what we do. We mirror to you your humanity and help you to safely see the parts of SELF or LIFE you may feel trapped within. We created this holistic healing space for folks who are exhausted or misaligned, recovering perfectionists who need to slow down in their fast-moving lives, working moms who are tired of "just managing" and are ready to fully embrace life. Our passion is holding space for the "strong friends" and care-takers of our communities. You are deserving of pouring into yourself. You can't pour from an empty cup.

Feeling overwhelmed? Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, or stress, we will work together to make meaningful change and reach your goals. A favorite quote of mine is: "At any given moment, we have two options: to step forward into growth or to step back into safety. " - Maslow. Therapy is a collaborative process - you have already made one of the most difficult steps by beginning your search.

Trauma can leave you feeling defeated and disconnected from yourself and others. You want to keep everything from falling apart but it's getting harder and harder. Family and friends tell you to "be strong", but you're not sure if that's possible. Emotions are more intense than they've ever been and you're feeling overwhelmed, unsafe, scared, anxious and frustrated. You desperately want to share your feelings but fear no one will understand; you're feeling isolated and alone. Does this sound familiar?

My mission is to develop and nurture a therapeutic relationship that enables individuals, couples and families to navigate through challenges to reach their full potential and live their best lives. I believe that everyone deserves fulfillment and have it within them to not only explore the possibilities, but to also make it happen. I also believe in helping athletes learn and understand the importance of mental strength to enhance performance through personal growth and finding fulfillment in their experiences. Through discovery, acceptance and nurturing, we can get there together.

No one gets through life without collecting emotional cuts and scars. Some cuts seem too small to matter much, but continue to be triggers for anger, depression and anxiety. I have been using Emotional Freedom Techniques (also known as Tapping) to promote healing of the triggers. As the triggers heal anger, anxiety and depression lose their grip on life. Special notice for VETS: TheTapping method is the most effective treatment for battlefield traumas I have found. While working with IBM I acquired a Masters Degree in Counseling from Loyola of Baltimore and later I earned a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work.
