My areas of expertise include working with individuals of all ages struggling with behavioral and emotional issues, including anger management, anxiety, depression, and relationship problems. Additionally, I have experience working with clients struggling with spiritual issues and those with family members with emotional struggles. I am also qualified to provide clinical supervision (VA & MD) to intern counselors, helping them develop their skills and knowledge to become effective therapists. I am also pleased to offer therapy sessions in Korean as well.

During my 30 years in the social work profession I have had an array of experiences that have focused on crisis work with families and individuals experiencing: trauma, loss, depression, grief, anxiety, low self-esteem, housing & employment issues, and family challenges. In my more recent practice years, I have enjoyed working with the LGBTQ community as a straight ally, and advocating for equal rights and fair treatment for all. I am also certified as a divorce mediator, and I provide clinical supervision to graduate level social work professionals seeking their LCSW-C licensure. Licensed in: MD/VA/FL.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Grief Recovery Method Specialist with nearly ten years of experience working with people of all ages with varying backgrounds and challenges. I have experience treating a wide range of client concerns including anxiety, depression, sleep issues, crisis due to major life changes, and relationship problems. My areas of greatest expertise include perinatal mental health (conception through postpartum/beyond) grief and loss (including perinatal loss of any kind), trauma/PTSD, attachment difficulties and parenting challenges especially with young children age 0-5.

My ideal client is the teen or adult that has had significant distress from emotional trauma, anxiety, mood and attentional disorders. Most clients have previously tried many types of therapies, including drug therapies, but continue to struggle.
