Handspring is a modern mental health clinic that provides personalized, evidence-based behavioral care for children, adolescents, and young adults. We currently serve children ages 8-18 and young adults ages 18-24 who are looking for treatment for anxiety, depression, or behavioral difficulties. Our therapeutic approaches include CBT, DBT, organizational skills training, behavior therapy, exposure & response prevention, and parent management training.

I have over 20 years of clinical mental and behavioral health services to children, individuals and families. My specialty is working with children who have special needs such as autism, trauma focus, anxiety, depression, gender identity, LGBTQIA & crisis intervention.

My ideal clients are from all walks of life. From helping a someone explore their gender identity, guiding polyamorous partners through conflict/understanding, to helping parents with their teenager who struggles with depression. Everyone client I meet is unique, and I'm honored to be apart of their healing journey.

Hello! My name is Mushiyrah. I have experience working with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, and self-esteem challenges, as well as other issues. Teaching coping skills and helping clients utilize their strengths is important to me. It allows individuals to feel empowered and competent. The goal is not to rely on me but to learn to trust themselves and utilize new skills to manage their symptoms. It is also very important to me to give space for people of color to feel comfortable exploring issues of race.
