Hey, welcome. I know the process of trying to find the right therapist can feel overwhelming. When I’ve looked for therapists for myself or as referrals for others, what I generally want to know is who the therapist is, what kind of person they are. Will they get me? Will they judge me? Are they going to actually call me on my stuff, but, in a nice way? These questions make sense. Therapy is vulnerable, it can be raw and real in ways we generally aren’t, even in very close relationships. Change is often hard and sometimes really scary but if you’re ready, I will meet you there.

Genuine, honest, caring, interested, easy to talk to, practical. If these are some of the qualities you are looking for in a therapist, we might be a good fit. I am grateful for the privilege of being able to walk beside the people who come to me for therapy. Even though people often come to me feeling anxious, sad or lost, I am naturally drawn to their strengths. A lot of the work I do with my patients centers around helping them to get to know their own strengths.

I believe that we all have the power to heal from trauma, change negative thinking patterns, and make positive changes in our lives when we feel supported in a safe and nurturing space. My goal is to help my clients develop deeper insight and awareness of themselves to better understand the barriers that prevent their healing and growth. I work with clients of all ages to process trauma and address difficulties in social, work, and relationship functioning. These problems can include depression, anxiety, loss, low self-esteem, emotional/behavioral dysregulation and major life transitions.

Not interested in ERP? There is another option! I offer Inferenced-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for OCD, another evidence-based approach that looks more at demystifying and disengaging with OCD rather than exposures! Anxiety is something we all experience, but let’s be honest, having intense anxiety is not fun! It often gets in the way of doing things that we want to do! My passion is to help others, people like you and I, begin the journey of working through anxiety (OCD, generalized anxiety, illness anxiety, phobias), toward the life they want to have.
