Are you tired of feeling anxious, exhausted, and burned out? Do you long for a therapist that understands your cultural dynamics and related traumas? Have you been feeling riddled with grief? I believe that inside of you is your best potential waiting to be revealed to you. We are first humans before the labels society has given us and I believe we have to first expose our triumphs and ask for help before we can heal our souls. I am a compassionate person who understands the importance of not only feeling heard, but also not being judged. I use a combined therapeutic approach that is tailored and customized to each of my clients.

You may think of yourself as bad, worthless, crazy or sick. You may feel shame for behaviors you have done. You may wish the ground would swallow you up. You may have no energy to face another day. You may know that beneath that darkness and gloom is a beautiful soul. It is okay to be human and to have ups and downs. It is okay to need someone to embrace your journey and tread the waters of life with you. You are worth the fight. You are deserving of peace. You matter. No amount of trauma, pain, challenge, illness and broken-heart can change that.

I offer healing practices through mindfulness, trauma-informed Drama therapy, and evidenced based- person centered practices.
I am a Black Drama Therapist, whom offers creative and cultural ways of coping with everyday stressors of life and trauma. Over the past 15 years I have assisted a multitude of individuals with exploring ways to live a life that fulfills them. We design together a plan of wellness and what I like to call a coping skills toolbox for life. Do you ever feel like managing all the roles you play in life can be somewhat overwhelming? Do you ever feel like you don't have the words to explain your emotions? Well, our sessions together can be a great way to explore this through different creative means.

Growing up around people with mental health difficulties, I learned from a very young age to accept mental health pain as deep and strong as physical pain and recognize that kindness is healing. As a therapist, I continue to see how providing acceptance and unconditional understanding of another human being promotes healing from deep attachment injuries. In addition, I focus on developing skills which can help with some practical issues, such as social functioning, communication difficulties, planning, obsessive tendencies, or emotional outbursts.
