My overall style is grounded in CBT and DBT, yet is integrative, depending upon what best suits my client.
I am a NY state licensed Psychologist with over 20 years of clinical experience with youth and families from diverse backgrounds. Over the years, I have enjoyed helping my clients learn how to better cope with many issues including behavioral difficulties, anxiety, depression, trauma, academic and social challenges in school, self harm, parental separation, teenage identity, and general parenting challenges. I view the child as part of a larger system which includes family, community, school, and culture. I take an active stance as a therapist, while offering a warm, supportive, down to earth, strength-based, and practical approach.

My approach is integrative, strengths focused, multicultural, and trauma informed.
My clients are as diverse as as the challenges and motivations that bring them into therapy. The common thread that unites them (other than having excellent taste in therapists) is a bold desire to change and a passion (perhaps that needs rekindling) to live an authentic and meaningful life. I’ve worked with artists struggling to connect or reconnect with their muse, folks facing homelessness, athletes striving for peak performance, and college students struggling to matriculate- people facing serious cross roads who need someone to walk with them through the process. Or maybe you just want to feel better! I am here for all of it!

My approach is holistic and integrative, drawing from insight oriented, skills based, somatic and experiential modalities.
I’m a psychotherapist with over 17 years of experience working with Adults, Couples and Groups. Additionally, I have been practicing yoga and mindfulness for 25 years and refining the utilization of these techniques in psychotherapy. As a trauma informed therapist, I consider your whole person, brain, mind-body and nervous system. Similarly, I bring my whole self, my attunement and intuition into our work together. I believe (and research backs this up) that the most important element to successful treatment is the relationship between a therapist and client.

I use a variety of therapeutic modalities to create an integrative and holistic perspective, drawing from psychodynamic/psychoanalytic, cognitive behavioral (CBT), dialectical behavioral (DBT), narrative, and relational therapies.
With curiosity and care, we'll create a therapeutic space to delve into your emotions and connect them to behaviors, explore the past and its impact on the present, and carve out opportunities for change. I believe that therapy is a place to practice a discipline of hope—while we examine past traumas and current challenges, we'll also find space to make healing possible. As a therapist, I practice with warmth, understanding, and compassion to create a dynamic that makes you feel supported through life's ebbs and flows.

Life transitions often lead us to feel overwhelmed. While people close to us may be supportive, we may not always feel able to share with them our doubts and discomfort. Whether we’re holding our own or a loved one's sexuality or gender identity; navigating changes in our primary relationships, or reflecting on adverse experiences, having a safe space to reflect and process is invaluable. My practice serves adult clients who have struggled with anxiety, live with trauma or grief, or who experience the world as members or allies of the LGBTQ+ community. My approach is conversational, strengths-based, and results-oriented.
