I bring warmth, compassion, humor and empathy to the therapeutic relationship, and I honor and prioritize the development of trust as a necessary foundation for successful treatment. I will create a comfortable atmosphere where you can feel safe and empowered to share your thoughts and feelings freely without fear of judgment. When working with me, you will be able to identify your strengths, gain a deep understanding of the themes in your life, and gain insight into past experiences, relationship patterns, and unhealthy coping skills that may be keeping you stuck.

That you are reading this now, and, and hopefully, planning to contact me, is proof that you are looking for a mental health professional to cope with one or more psychological problems, or complaints that are confronting you. If so, look no further! I can help you, if the help you seek is concerned with behaviors that interfere with normal daily functioning; or it's about pre-marital counseling, sexual issues, parenting style, or about how to rekindle, or end, broken relationships, deal with grief, career, education, and school related options.

Experience has taught me that each person is unique and must be listened to, in an open nonjudgmental manner focusing on the singularity of their own life. No matter how traumatic an event could be, there are always important reasons that maintain a person trapped in her/his own life. Discovering and understanding these reasons is central to unlock a traumatic situation. Anxiety, depression, panic attacks, eating disorders, difficulties to connect or relate to others as well as the different types of addictions are all symptoms connected with a particular way that someone has to deal with suffering.

I invite clients struggling with an array of issues from anxiety, codependency, addiction, and eating disorders to work with me. I am usually the best fit for people who are motivated and looking to make difficult changes in their life that they have struggled with managing on their own and need more support with. In a world of artificial intimacy (AI), my goal as a therapist is to build authentic connections with people to help them shrink the gap between where they are and where they want to be. When working with me, my approach is gently direct and collaborative.

My priority in therapy is to help you better understand your emotions and what drives them, in order to make decisions that align with who you are. As a child of immigrants, I understand the challenging experience of growing up with social and parental pressures that contradict each other. For this reason, I thoroughly enjoy working with South Asian and POC adolescents and adults who have had similar challenges in navigating life amidst various external expectations. If you are grappling with anxiety, self-criticism, relationship challenges, or uncertainty in making significant life decisions, I am here to help you through it!

Healing can happen with the courage to understand one’s own life story. I believe therapy is a collaborative journey toward prioritizing emotional well-being, promoting healthier behaviors and routines, and fostering self-compassion. This journey often includes examining the dynamic challenges that impact our relationships. As each person presents with a unique set of strengths and challenges, I strive to personalize treatment to meet your personal goals, build upon your strengths, and help you feel in control of your life. Most importantly, I prioritize doing this work in a warm & supportive environment.

I believe that the therapeutic journey is one that begins with stepping out of one's comfort zone and welcoming change. I make diligent efforts to create a safe space for my clients to openly talk about vulnerable issues. I work hard to build a strong alliance with my clients as well as a space that reflects my nonjudgmental and supportive stance. I specialize in working with pre-teens, teens, and adults who struggle with anxiety, depression and suicidal thoughts, trauma and PTSD, adjustment issues, and self-esteem problems. I also provide therapy for issues that relate to family conflict and divorce.

Dealing with anxiety or depression can be very distressing. In those moments or times, our priority becomes finding relief. However, the bigger picture is that we must focus on learning the tools that shift our mood and create an emotionally more fulfilling lifestyle. Think about the times when you felt completely confident and happy. It is very unlikely you felt any emotional discomfort. An elevated and confident emotional state will banish emotional distress. It is the antidote. Why? Anxiety and depression, which result from fear and doubt, have no place when confidence and optimism take hold.

Modern relationships are HARD. It’s a struggle to find the right person OR to wonder if your current partner is possibly the wrong person. It’s tough when you feel burned by or totally confused about your path. Maybe you’ve even made choices or overlooked things you now regret. Or, maybe it’s a relationship with a boss or coworkers who undervalue you or play favorites with others. Your work ethic and good ideas have long taken a backseat to putting out fires or just avoiding things way more than you should. You’re past thinking that life’s fair. But, you never thought that things could go THIS wrong or get under your skin THIS much.
