I believe that a good therapist listens well; is empathic; and provides a safe, empowering, and judgement-free environment. The client and I form a partnership to help the client navigate this great adventure called life. My primary areas of expertise are ADDICTIONS (e.g., substances, sex, video games, phone, social media), ANXIETY, CHILDHOOD and ADOLESCENCE, COLLEGE students, VETERANS, RELATIONSHIPS, TRAUMA, GROUPS, PSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATIONS, and COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPY.

Perhaps you are reading this because you feel disconnected and alone. Or you have this sense that you can’t fully be yourself. Maybe there’s a relationship that you can’t move past or it feels like there’s more grief inside you than you know what to do with. Perhaps you find yourself dancing around the pain or retreat into numbness? Maybe you are in a relationship that feels more alone than together?

When you lose the ability to connect with others or your connections are unfulfilling, you may choose to settle for just getting by. You may put on a happy face because it seems easier while pushing more painful emotions aside. Maybe you fear if you show your true self you will lose control or worse, be seen as unlovable. You feel stuck - perhaps struggling to even identify what is causing you pain. I get it. Facing fear, shame, self-doubt or past injuries can be overwhelming and the prospect of change daunting, especially when you think you have to do it by yourself.

I am currently providing in-person and video sessions for individual therapy and couples work. My therapeutic approach is focused on making room for feelings of relief, self-acceptance, and a sense of inner calm. My clients arrive to therapy because of a tension between their external life feels outs of alignment their inner desires. Or, their relationships a source of pain for them, leaving them feeling stuck, like they are just replaying the same patterns over and over again. My clients have curiosity about their own roles in their dynamics in family relationships, romantic relationships, and friendships.

Many circumstances have brought you to the point where anxiety, depression, low self esteem or frustration have made it difficult for you to live your best life. Together we embark on a journey which helps you to better understand yourself and then implement changes so that you are in charge again

Psychotherapy offers a wonderful opportunity to discover more about who we are and what it is that we want. Therapy should help us to find compassion for ourselves, to have patience with the unresolved and to find the courage to live more fully in the moment. This work offers us a chance to grow and evolve and be graced by the ability to view the world with less distortion, denial and illusion, and live in the freedom that comes with seeing things the way they really are.
