Robin Carlock is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who specializes in treating addiction, mental health symptoms, trauma/post-traumatic stress syndrome (PTSD), life transitions, women’s issues, and LGBTQ+ or other sexuality issues in adolescents, teens, and adults. I've been working with clients in Ocean County for over a decade. I utilize CBT, REBT, and solution focused treatment in my practice. I am also trained in EMDR and CPT for trauma focused therapy. I enjoy working with couples as well. I offer both telehealth and in person appointments with an office located in Forked River.

I have worked with individuals, couples, and families who have struggled to overcome marital issues, family conflict, depression, anxiety, anger issues, low self-esteem, and suicidal ideation. Most teen clients have difficulty socializing and fitting in with others in school. Many adult clients have trouble connecting with their family and feel inadequate during gatherings. Most children I see are unable to manage their anger, concentrate, or communicate with others in a respectful way. The couples I see have breakdowns in their communication, need help finding ways to resolve their differences and want to reignite their connection.

I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults and help them to better understand their issues and the factors maintaining them; this awareness helps my clients to regain control and live more fulfilling and joyous lives. I help my clients to see that their past does not define their future, as well as strengthen their willingness to accept current circumstances so that they can live more presently, each day.
