Many people come into therapy because they want change in their lives, but said change feels scary or unobtainable. I partner with you to identify the changes you want to make and understand the beliefs and stories that maintain the issues and problems you hope to change. I will actively participate in your therapy by asking exploratory questions, using empathic listening, and gently and lovingly holding up the mirror so you can become increasingly aware and accepting of yourself.

I use a person-centered approach to assist my clients in identifying their goals and paint an image of what they envision for themselves. I enjoy helping individuals work through infertility and or other women's issues (post-partum, pregnancy). Often, I treat clients struggling with life events, trauma, substance abuse/addiction, depression and anxiety. I have been working with in need families (adolescents and adults) throughout New Haven and Fairfield County for the past decade. I have an eclectic approach, meaning I use a variety of treatment modalities to work on issues presented.

You’re lying in bed and it starts - endless thoughts of what there is to do and what hasn’t been done, what is going wrong or what could go wrong, memories, exciting new ideas, old conversations, thoughts of how to ‘fix’ your sleep/anxiety/mood/organization/relationships/life. Your busy mind can be exhausting yet that is exactly the problem; you just can’t seem to disengage enough to fully relax, enjoy, or possibly even sleep. And all of that thinking does not seem to improve the way you live day-to-day anyway. This is a frustrating paradox when you are trying to reach your fullest potential but it feels just out of reach.

Welcome all! I am happy to have you here. Celebrate yourself for seeking support during these challenging times. While it may feel overwhelming with the amount of information on the website, take a few deep breaths and ground yourself before you begin. A lot of the work I do begins with checking into how you are doing, where is your body currently at, and what do you need in this current moment. Healing begins from within. I love meeting clients where they are at and allowing their strengths to shine and guide the work. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker under the supervision of Lisa Shea, LCSW. I am a Reiki Level 1 practitioner.

Ever feel things just need to change, stuck in bad habits, unappreciated, or you try to express yourself but never seem to get through correctly? These are a few of the issues that arise with those I see. I know change is hard, and no one likes it, but I have seen people change and know it can be done! I have an eclectic approach to therapy and work with YOUR needs to facilitate change. I also believe finding the right therapist is sometimes hard to do. My philosophy is: come in and meet me. See if I am the right fit for you!
