I am a therapist with over 40 years of experience, supporting clients through life's challenges and emotional and mental distress. I am amazed by the daily changes I witness in my clients. People come in, driven by anxiety, fear, and shame, and learn the skills to begin to heal those parts of themselves. My clients find validation in having a provider who understands and acknowledges the difficulties that arise from experiencing marginalization. I have been in the field for over 20 years and have found that my skills are most effective in working with people who hold marginalized identities as well as community activists. With our rapidly changing and shifting world it is important to have a provider that acknowledges the times we are living in to support those of us most affected by these changes. Many of us are struggling to navigate the vast changes in the world around us in addition to typical day to day concerns.

Rachel has over a decade experience specializing in depression, anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, and co-occurring substance use disorders. Rachel has worked with children and adults from age 5 to 85, and utilizes an integrated approach tailored to meet each individuals' unique needs.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Rivier College and a Master’s in Social Work from Boston University School of Social Work. I have been working in the mental health field for over 25 years. Since graduating from BUSSW in 2000, I have worked in community mental health centers, schools, hospitals, small group practices and in private practice. Judith Lambert is a Certified EMDR therapist, specializing in the treatment of trauma, PTSD and anxiety. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) is an extensively researched (evidence-based) therapy that treats the source of one’s current mental health symptoms but differs from traditional talk therapy. It provides an internal healing process where the patient uses visualization, while also engaging in bilateral stimulation (visual eye movements and synchronized audio tones). There is less talk to allow for more internal processing. And it is highly adaptable to today's telehealth modality.

Prior to obtaining my Master's Degree I had worked as a residential counselor for adjudicated adolescent males at Our House in Greenfield, MA. In the late 80s I moved to Oakland California where I worked as an Activity Therapist at a treatment program for adolescents in the Mission District of San Francisco doing Art Therapy and small group therapy.
