Hello, everyone; my name is David Balogun. I’m a Psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC) specializing in caring for mental health patients across the lifespan: Children, adults, and the elderly. I’m licensed in Georgia and Iowa and accept clients from both states. I treat all cases of mental health disorders, but I don’t prescribe narcotics or controlled substances.

Currently at New Progressions I am the Medical Director. New Progressions is a Community Mental Health Center that specializes in Child & Adult Core Services.

I was born and raised in Puerto Rico by a Cuban mother and a Puertorrican father; completed my medical school training as well as my first year of Psychiatry Residency at the University of Puerto Rico Medical School – San Juan, which is the largest Medical Center in Puerto Rico. After completion of my first year of residency I transferred to Gainesville, Florida to finish my psychiatry residency from the University of Central Florida/ HCA Consortium program.

Diana Manjarres is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner authenticated by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She worked as a critical care nurse for many years. She noticed how patients with histories of mental illness (from anxiety, depression, to schizophrenia) were easily dismissed in hospital settings. She found herself being an advocate for this patient population. She hopes to help her patients take a pause and just breathe again. I am board certified in Child, Adolescent & Adult Psychiatry. I see children, adolescents, teenagers, and adults in my office in Dunwoody and am accepting new patients. I specialize in the use of medications and other holistic approaches to treat mental health conditions. I am also the Medical Director of Southern Live Oak Wellness. Treating clients with respect, integrity and compassion are my priorities. When managing medications, I incorporate the most current and best evidence based practices.
