I look forward to learning from my clients and their families, encouraging them all to live a life to their fullest potential with their most authentic self. I am currently only taking child and adolescent medication-management patients. I am a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner who specializes in treating children and adolescents. I practice a family systems approach and understand the child’s/adolescent’s functioning within the unit of their family system. I think of the family system as its own unique biome with established patterns of behaviors, values, and ideas, and each of these themes are explored in our sessions.

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I believe that mental health is more than the absence of mental illness. Although my training and education is to diagnose, evaluate, and treat psychiatric disorders, my goal is to work in partnership with clients toward an integrated sense of mental clarity, balance, and resiliency. My approach to treatment involves understanding more than pharmacology- patients can expect that I will seek to understand their unique biopsychosocial context, coping skills, and patterns.

I am accepting new clients. I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with prescriptive authority in Washington State. I provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, psycho-education, and supportive counseling. My past clients have experienced treatment that is client-centered, evidence-based and has a humanistic approach that recognizes the uniqueness of all individuals. I am a compassionate provider and believe in working with clients to find a plan that will respect the client’s individual goals, beliefs, and lifestyle.

My name is Dr. Michael Sun. I graduated from Harvard University and Dartmouth Medical School before completing my adult psychiatry residency training at Duke University and my child and adolescent fellowship training at Massachusetts General Hospital and McLean Hospital, affiliated with Harvard Medical School. Before moving to Seattle, I was the Site Director for Education at the Child and Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatry Unit for the Mount Sinai Health System in New York City.

I am seeing new and existing clients via telehealth. I believe in collaborating with parents, family, and other mental health professionals to bring a team of support and care to my patients. I offer psychiatric consultations, psychiatric evaluations, and medication management. I obtained my medical degree from University of Istanbul Medical School. I completed my Psychiatry Specialization at Case Western Reserve University. I was the chief resident of the inpatient units at Harvard Medical School. I have held positions at Western State Hospital, Good Samaritan Behavioral Health and Navos Mental Health. I was a pediatric neurosurgeon previously and have vast experience working abroad in the international medical communities of Canada, Japan, Germany, France and Australia. I am fluent in English, German, French and Turkish. Services Offered: My focus will be on medication management.

Anita has more than 8 yrs experience as psychiatric nurse practitioner, and experience as telepsych provider for more than 4 yrs. Her experiences include outpatient, inpatient, military, and civilian; works with children and adult populations.

Jim is a psychiatric nurse practitioner who brings a wealth of knowledge about mental health and experience in behavioral health management to our clinic where he serves as our Clinical Director and provides medication management for our patients. Jim has an MSN from Seattle University and worked in behavioral health administration prior to becoming a psychiatric nurse. As an RN, he worked as a staff nurse on a medical-psych unit and as a charge nurse on an adolescent psych unit and an adult psychiatric intensive care unit. He became a nurse to work in psychiatry and has always worked in psychiatry – he loves every day on the job.
