I have twenty years’ experience providing healthcare services to a wide range of populations and within a variety of specialties. In the last decade, I have provided psychiatric care as a registered nurse in inpatient psychiatric units. This experience has given me an understanding of individuals with severe mental illnesses, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, and psychosis.

Claire Whitehead is a dually board certified nurse practitioner with specialties in psychiatry and family practice. As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Claire is skilled in psychiatric assessment and diagnosis and can provide medication management and psychotherapy. She completed undergraduate training at Tulane University in New Orleans and nursing school at Columbia University in New York.

My practice draws upon a variety of evidence-based psychotherapies and utilizes psychiatric medications if appropriate.
