Hi, My name is Dr. Sherin Moideen and I started Virginia Psychiatry LLC to provide specialized psychiatric care to women. Women face unique challenges during periods of life and reproductive transitions, career, and parenthood. I strive to take into consideration the biological, psychological, social, and cultural experiences that are unique to women. Certain diagnosis are often overlooked in women. I have been practicing in the Richmond area for over 10 years and I am licensed to practice in both Virginia and Washington D.C. I offer telemedicine appointments throughout the state.

I am a psychiatrist with experience working with both children and adults. My primary focus in outpatient practice is work with children and adolescents as well as some young adults. I provide psychiatric assessments and medication management. I also offer play therapy for younger children. I work with a multidisciplinary team at Aligned Clinical and Educational Services in Crozet, Virginia. My training includes medical school at Mercer University followed by a 4 year general psychiatry residency and a 2 year child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship, both at the University of Virginia.

Julia is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with twelve years of nursing experience working in various mental health settings. These settings range from acute inpatient hospitalization, crisis stabilization, and substance abuse treatment. Hi, I'm Katey Morrell, APRN, PMHNP-BC and have been working in Psychiatry with clients all across the lifespan and have experience treating a multitude of symptoms and disorders. I am married to my high school sweetheart, and we have a spoiled 2-year-old American Bulldog. I am also a new momma to our sweet 6-month-old daughter, preemie who came barreling into this world via emergency c-section. As a NICU warrior with a journey of infertility, miscarriage, and postpartum anxiety, I am passionate about helping other women in their journey. No matter what path you have walked, it isn’t easy.

Rebecca has worked in the medical field for over thirty years, with a significant focus on women's health. Debra Robbins Morton is a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who has 23 years of experience providing mental health therapy and medication management. As a nurse Debra has delivered babies, taught childbirth and parenting, and cared for various medical troubles. Since 2008, she has focused exclusively on providing mental health care by diagnosing and prescribing medications for depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD and insomnia

Dr. Motiwala likes to know her patients well, so she can understand which part of their history, including trauma or medical issues, are playing a role in their current symptomology and treats them accordingly. Outside of work, Dr. Motiwala likes to cook/ bake, play badminton, sketch, travel, and watch movies

Dr. Mousavi holds the position of attending psychiatrist at Talkiatry. She is Board certified in adult psychiatry and has been practicing for over 6 years. Dr. Mousavi's practice focuses on medication management. Typically, she offers this in conjunction with supportive therapy in 30-minute follow up visits. Dr. Mousavi may believe that additional therapy is also needed and ask that you bring a therapist into your care team to provide the best outcome.
