As a psychiatrist I wear many different hats while supporting my clients, but first and foremost I’m a psychotherapist and that is where I do my most rewarding work. I use my background in Integrative Psychiatry to give my clients a 360 degree treatment plan, including supplements, lifestyle modification and psychiatric medications when appropriate. My approach appreciates that while psychiatric drugs and supplements can help they are not the cure and most patients need that therapeutic space in order to thrive and steer the treatment in a new direction.
I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Engineering from the University of Virginia. Although I greatly value my math and science background, I missed the human side of the sciences so next set out for medical school at Albany Medical College.
After graduating from medical school, I completed my psychiatry residency at Montefiore Medical Center. Following residency I gained additional experience as the Senior Chief of the Psychiatry Residency.
