She obtained her associate of science degree in Nursing from Tidewater Community College. She continued on to earn her bachelor's and master's degrees from Old Dominion University. Therese is a fierce advocate for women, children, and those suffering from mental health conditions. Her clinical experience includes providing care to children and adolescents in acute stabilization and inpatient settings, working with adults in partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs,

I started my career as a Nurse in the U.S. Navy and retired after 22 years of service. It was during this time that I also practiced as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for over a decade in the primary care setting where I was able to identify the urgency and need for mental health care in both the pediatric and adult population. Following my retirement from the United States Navy in 2022, I pursued my Post Masters Certification as a PMHNP, and now I am eager to help.

I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with 8+ years of nursing experience in the psychiatric field ranging from child and adult inpatient care to community mental health crisis stabilization and substance abuse treatment. I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of North Carolina and Master's Degree at Walden University. My focus is on the treatment of mood disorders, psychotic disorders, and substance abuse through assessments and medication management.
