Dr. Scott Salomone, MD (he/him) completed his Psychiatric Residency training with distinction in Spanish Language and Healthcare Disparities at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona where he was additionally the Chief Resident of outpatient psychiatry. r. Salomone has found joy in the meaningful connections built in outpatient practice whether providing medication management, therapeutic services, or both with his patients. With a foundation of medical training, he strives to understand the complex physiology underlying mental health disorders and the medications, therapies, and other modalities used to treat them.

I work with adult clients suffering from depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, and mood instability. Many of my clients are dealing with emotional or behavioral issues related to modern life stresses and do not necessarily have a diagnosis (or "label"). Sometimes clients just need someone to maintain upkeep on ordering their medications and ensuring insurance coverage. I encourage people from all demographics and all backgrounds to have an open mind and reach out!

Gayle Scanlan is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Utah who has been practicing since 2022. Gayle believes approaching patients from all walks of life with empathy and kindness in an open-minded way will allow them to achieve their mental health goals. She values therapeutic communication and has cared for numerous patients and families undergoing crises. Gayle approaches patients in an unbiased and nonjudgmental manner, caring for them with empathy. Outside of work, Gayle enjoys hiking, yoga, learning new things, and spending time with her family.

Melissa is a psychiatric nurse practitioner intern completing her Doctorate of Nursing Practice at the University of Utah. She graduated from the University of Utah with her Bachelor’s in nursing and has worked as a registered nurse in a residential eating disorder treatment center and as a pediatric oncology nurse.

A holistic provider, he combines non-pharmacologic approaches - including psychodynamic psychotherapy and cognitive behavioral therapy - in addition to medication. He has extensive experience in treating all aspects of medical, behavioral and developmental problems in children and adolescents. He also has extensive experience in both outpatient and inpatient adult psychiatry.

Dr. Simmons received an MD overseas and a DNP from the University of Utah. She is a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She has nearly 20 years' experience in healthcare. Having lived in four countries with different cultures, she understands that each individual is the outcome of the complex interactions of their biopsychosocial factors and that trauma can have profound negative effects in people's lives. She respects people’s perspectives from all walks of life. She loves to assist people in improving the quality of their lives with evidence-based medical knowledge and psychotherapy skills.

I enjoy working with children, teens and adults who are experiencing both minor and more severe mental health conditions and feel that they can benefit from the addition of medication to their treatment plan. I encourage my patients to take an active role in therapy in addition to medication management for ideal results.

I am a bilingual psychiatric nurse practitioner and the owner of Connections Nursing Psychiatry, PLLC. I have worked in psychiatry since 2018 in most levels of psychiatric care, including inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, outpatient, and telehealth. In these settings, I have experience working with both adults and adolescents.
