Christian Umeh is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). He received his Master of Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) from the University of Maryland School of Nursing, Baltimore. He obtained Post-Masters Certificate in Family Nurse Practitioner from Drexel University, Philadelphia. After extensive experience ranging from critical care medicine, emergency medicine and Trauma-Surgical program, he proceeded to University of Texas Rio Grande Valley for Post-Masters Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).

Prasanna Sharma is a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with a passion for helping individuals overcome mental health challenges. She graduated summa cum laude with a BSN from the University of Texas and went on to earn an MSN with a specialization in psychiatric mental health from the Cizik School of Nursing at UT Health Houston. She has dedicated her career to helping individuals to achieve optimal health & well-being & has experience working in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities, where she cared for patients with complex medical & mental health conditions.

I have been practicing general adult psychiatry since 1997 and have extensive expertise in evaluating and treating individuals of all ages, as well as treating a wide variety of emotional and mental conditions that range from mood/anxiety disorders, substance abuse, PTSD, OCD, ADHD, and eating disorders to consulting with clients about grief, trauma, work stress, relationship problems, adoption, legal cases, disability, and other major life changing events. I utilize biopsychosocial approach to mental illness that takes into account each individual's physical health, environment, and psychological experiences throughout their life.

As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I provide compassionate, up-to-date mental health care to my clients. This can range from prescribing medication, providing information about how to improve sleep or nutrition, or simply helping clients to understand how mental health issues happen, how they can affect our lives, and what options for treatment exist. Trauma, anxiety and depression (unipolar or bipolar) and hormonal issues (PMDD, menopause) are areas of specialty for me, as I have had significant experience treating these issues. Currently, I can see clients age 17 and over.
