Boris Rubashkin was born and educated in St. Petersburg, Russia. He graduated 1969 and took his psychiatric residency in 1973. He immigrated to the United States in 1974 and spent five years working in a mental health field in Minnesota. With his desire to escape from the cold weather, he moved to a warmer climate of Houston, Texas. From 1979 - 1983, he worked at University of Texas Health Science Psychiatric Residency. In 1983, he went into private practice. In 1997, he also became a consulting psychiatrist to Long Term Care Facilities. Additionally, he cofounded Behavioral Health Consultants, a multi-specialty outpatient psychiatric office.

Maame Obiri-Boateng, PMHNP-BC places a strong emphasis on creating a safe environment in which you can work toward developing and strengthening mental health and maintenance. She serves the public by preventing, identifying, and treating psychiatric conditions. She enjoys assisting and providing care through telehealth and in-person visits in an integrated practice, building and fortifying care accessible to you. Sessions are personalized, targeted, and integrative. She has a wide range of experience in treating various mental illnesses including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, ADHD, and OCD.

Trish is a board-certified PMHNP who obtained her BSN from the University of Texas at Arlington and her MSN from Eastern Kentucky University. She has over 27 years in healthcare including working as a psychiatric registered nurse, where she became passionate about caring for those dealing with mental health issues. Supporting, advocating for, encouraging, and motivating her patients is imperative to her when providing care. She strives to provide exceptional care to her patients.

While I prescribe medication, I strongly advocate psychotherapy either in combination with medications, or alone, in most situations. I have extensive training in different modes of psychotherapy including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, and a more intensive type of therapy called Psychoanalysis. I believe that psychotherapy can help bring about the kinds of lasting changes and satisfaction personally and in relationships that most people are looking for.

I strive to bring curiosity, openness, compassion, and a non-judgmental stance to my work and I challenge my patients to do the same. My patients want a way to feel and express their feelings and no longer avoid them. They want to open up their capacity for joy and acceptance.
