She has always had a passion for psychology and the study of human nature, and received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology before completing her nursing degree. She sees the role of a psychiatric nurse practitioner as a bridge between psychology and medicine. Her approach involves treating each person spiritually, mentally, and physically through pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments.

As a double board-certified Lifespan Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) & Adult-Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGNP), I have a commitment to providing comprehensive care to individuals with complex psychiatric conditions. With over 13 years of experience in the medical and psychiatric fields, I have the expertise in treating a diverse range of patients. I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 10 years of nursing experience in the psychiatric field ranging from inpatient and outpatient care for mental health, crisis stabilization and substance abuse treatment. I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at University of Texas at Arlington and received my graduate degree from Walden University. I have experience in managing mood disorders, trauma, psychotic disorders, substance abuse and chronic illness through assessment and medication management for adult clients age 18 and older.

Dr. Trenice Johnson, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC is an experienced national board certified nurse practitioner who has practiced for several years in family practice and mental health services. She strongly believes in the importance of mental healthcare and she is thrilled to continue to embark upon. Helping clients with the goals of developing insight into their emotions and behaviors during the course of their treatment, while allowing her to gain trust and respect from those whom suffer from the problems of stress, anxiety, depression, substance use disorders and culture stress problems.
