Dr. Alexis Kropf is a board-certified adult psychiatrist beginning her practice at Talkiatry after four years of clinical experience in residency. Dr. Kropf primarily focuses on providing medication management during 30-minute follow-up visits, weaving in elements of supportive therapy according to the needs of her clients. When additional therapy is indicated to promote recovery, Dr. Kropf may recommend that her clients work with a therapist as part of the treatment team.

Nereida Gonzalez-Berrios, MD is a General Psychiatrist who works in Katy, TX. She is fluent in both English and Spanish. Dr. Gonzalez-Berrios finished her training in psychiatry in 2008 and has been treating and helping patients since then. She has vast knowledge in treating different conditions such as mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, intellectual impairment, ADHD, eating disorders, PTSD, personality disorders, etc. She is looking forward to helping others with their mental health and wellbeing.

Dr. Escamilla is a graduate of Harvard College and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. He completed his psychiatry training at the University of California at San Francisco and also completed a research fellowship with the American Psychiatric Association.

Dr. Corona is a staff psychiatrist at Talkiatry. He attended the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio School of Medicine where he completed his medical degree. He received his Adult Psychiatry Residency training at UT Health San Antonio. Dr. Corona combines medication management with therapeutic techniques and works collaboratively with therapists, as needed, to create an individualized treatment plan for his patients.

Dr. De Paz is the director of Behavioral Health for CommuniCare health centers, he received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch and did his residency training in General Psychiatry and a Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Texas Medical Branch. After his training he worked at the Center for Health Care Services in San Antonio for 3 years and served as the Director of the Children’s program and the Dual Diagnosis clinic. He has also worked for JSA telehealth who were in the forefront of the use of telemedicine services to reach the most underserved populations in the state.

Dr. Osman Athar is board certified in General Psychiatry and board eligible in Consult-Liaison Psychiatry. He graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in English from Rice University, from McGovern Medical School for his medical doctorate and went on to complete Psychiatry residency at the University of Texas-Houston where he served as a chief resident. Afterwards, he completed fellowship in Consult-Liaison Psychiatry at Louisiana State University - Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans.

Dr. Orejarena’s is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She finished her residency from Yale University and the University of Texas Houston. She has done extensive research on psychiatry during her PhD in Neuropsychopharmacology and a Masters in Neuroscience. She is bilingual in Spanish and English. She incorporates different therapy modalities and evidence-based treatments, tailored to each person’s needs. She enjoys applying her knowledge in neuroscience and pharmacology into her clinical practice and believes combination of medication and psychotherapy yields best treatment outcomes.
