After receiving her BA in Psychology from University of Texas at Dallas, she obtained her Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Abilene Christian University, she then became a registered nurse and obtained a Master's Degree in Family Mental Health Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Program at The University of Texas at Austin.
