Making the decision to seek a psychiatrist is not always easy and can take some time. I'm glad that you are taking the step to work on your mental health. I take a collaborative, patient centered and evidence-based approach when treating my patients. My goal is to empower patients to better understand their mental health, advocate for themselves and improve their quality of life. I have a special interest in working with pregnant and post-partum patients but also see patients who are not pregnant or post partum.
While my practice is mostly medication management, I am trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy and supportive therapy and incorporate elements of these in my practice. I also have experience in other treatment settings including the emergency room, psychiatric hospital, community mental health centers and college counseling centers
I believe that treating mental health conditions requires a combination of medication management, therapy and sometimes, brain stimulation therapies like TMS. Our practice also offers Trans Magnetic Stimulation(TMS) and Spravato.
