She began her nursing career in her teens, working as a nursing assistant. In 2006, she graduated from Walters State Community College with an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing, enabling her to work and grow as a registered nurse for many years. In 2021, she graduated from Frontier Nursing University with a Master of Science in Nursing. Her experience, which includes 11 years of travel nursing, has enabled her to work with a variety of populations with varying backgrounds and cultures.

Hello, my name is Angel Smith and I own Dedicated Psychiatric Services in Kingsport TN. I am a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. I graduated from the University of Tennessee Knoxville in 2018. I have been a registered nurse since 2008. My mental health career first began in 2009, and I now have over 15 years of experience working with Psychiatric patients. I treat a wide range of psychiatric illnesses and age ranges from 6 years old and up. I am passionate about all mental health and treatment but I do enjoy specifically treating ADHD, perinatal mood disorders, and bipolar disorder.

David Wells PMHNP-BC is a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a passion for patient-centered care. With extensive hospital nursing experience, he saw the urgent need for mental health services in his community. Motivated to make a difference, he pursued higher education to become a PMHNP. Sam Burress received his Bachelor’s degree from Martin Methodist College in 2015. Sam has a background in Intensive Care and Emergency nursing, but quickly realized that his true passion was in psychiatric nursing. He worked in Centennial’s inpatient psychiatric hospital in various bedside and administrative roles for 6 years prior to attending Middle Tennessee State University to obtain a Master’s degree and PMHNP certification. Ashley Lawhorn is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Tennessee who has been practicing since 2016 in a variety of settings, including community mental health, dual diagnosis centers for substance abuse/mental health and private practice. Ashley provides psychiatric evaluations, with diagnoses and medication management, for ages 5-99. She enjoys all ages and will continue to treat the lifespan.
