Depression, anxiety, substance use, and abuse, along with situational stressors are all areas in which I can help you process and move forward in a healthy way.
Seeking help can be a daunting task, especially if you have had bad experiences in the past. I try and approach every situation with a fresh set of eyes, and meet you as a person first, try and work to figure out who you are, and then what we can do to accomplish the goals we set together. I want to get you to a point where you can be the best version of yourself.

If you feel like your previous experiences with psychiatry have felt cold and abrupt, and it has felt nearly impossible to communicate with your provider, I'd like to help create a new impression of the experience of psychiatry for you. My patients often thank me for my friendly and easy-going approach, and I'm often only a message away if there are questions or concerns. If you're struggling with issues like anxiety, mood instability, trauma, paranoia, or substance use (to name a few), I would like to hear your story, offer solutions, and discuss medications if appropriate. I have a wide range of experience and tools to help.

We are a group practice (of psychiatrists and therapists). We have availability within 1-2 weeks (sometimes the same week!). We have 4.9 star average of over 300+ reviews (on our website). Feel free to call or message us to request an ASAP appointment. You might be a bit hesitant about receiving treatment over the internet if you haven’t done it before, and that’s totally understandable. If we can provide you any reassurance, most people end up finding they enjoy virtual visits more than going to an office.

Substance Use Psychiatrists
How do substance and drug recovery or rehabilitation programs work?
In inpatient programs, individuals live in a facility with other clients in recovery; in outpatient programs, individuals reside at home. These facilities are staffed with healthcare professionals including physicians, nurses, psychologists, counselors, and psychotherapists. Staff often also includes people who have recovered themselves, serving as mentors and guides. These programs may use abstinence, harm reduction, detoxification, psychotherapy, and other methods.
How do 12-step programs combined with psychotherapy work?
Members of 12-step programs help each other reach abstinence and work to maintain it. These programs promote complete change in the individual’s emotional, mental, physical, and even spiritual perspectives. Some programs require that new members attend 90 meetings in 90 days. Many people do attend these programs in conjunction with their work in psychotherapy; the combination of therapy along with 12-step can be extremely effective.
How does harm reduction combined with psychotherapy work?
According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, harm reduction prevents death, injury, disease, overdose, and substance misuse. People who choose harm reduction for substance use reduce the amount of drugs they consume. It is not abstinence-based like a 12-step program, but combining harm reduction with psychotherapy proves to be effective for many people.
Are there specific medications for substance and drug use?
There are medications approved to treat substance use disorder—such as buprenorphine, methadone, naltrexone, and acamprosate. These medications do help people cope with substance use as well as avoid the problem of relapse. Naltrexone can help reduce cravings, methadone is an opioid medication used to treat severe pain, and acamprosate may help ease symptoms like poor sleep and anxious feelings.
