My name is Shanna Schreurs, and I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I have 10 years of experience, and I strive to get to know each patient as an individual to tailor treatment to their unique needs. I take a whole-person approach to mental health treatment. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Accelerated Resolution Therapy in addition to managing medication. I feel strongly that the best outcomes are possible with a combination of therapy and medication when needed to address mental health concerns.
I have licensure and training to treat all ages, but I most commonly treat adult patients needing help with depression, anxiety, panic, OCD, mood disorders, and ADHD. Casual and open environment, I want everyone to feel at ease and comfortable during their sessions.
I work to learn what goals my patient is wanting to focus on, then assist patient in making realistic goals for treatment. The focus of the first session is to achieve a complete evaluation, getting a complete history of a patient's medical, social, and psychiatry history and working towards a diagnosis and treatment plan.
