I am a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and I work with clients who suffer from depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, PTSD, and schizophrenia. I also work with clients struggling with overwhelming life difficulties, such the death of a loved one or the end of relationship. My approach to care is tailored to your needs and may include medication, nutritional supplementation, and therapy. I concentrate on integrative psychiatry to understand you as a whole person. This allows you and I the ability to identify and treat the underlying causes of your condition, so we can move beyond just covering up symptoms with psychiatric medications and achieve profound life changes. We will often concentrate on nutrition, stress management, sleep and rest, work-life balance, movement, spirituality, relationships and community, personal development, mind-body connection, and healthy environment as ways to decrease polypharmacy.

Jennifer Ramsey is a Nurse Practitioner in South Carolina who has been practicing since 2013. Laura is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over 10 years of experience treating a variety of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, and insomnia. Laura completed her Master's degree in Nursing at Walden University.

Hello, I am a certified AGNP and PMHNP (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner). I am honored to have now been in the nursing field for over fifteen years. I have always held an interest in the mind and human behavior. Working in the adult outpatient program (PHP) program taught me a lot about the intertwined roles of nursing and social work, as well as allowed me the opportunity to teach coping skill classes (e.g., guided imagery, self-esteem, sleep hygiene, and medication adherence). Serving both private practice and elderly care clients, I specialize in treating ADHD, OCD, anxiety, depression, insomnia, and dementia.

Most recently she served as a forensic nurse and sexual assault nurse examiner in both a clinician and an educator role. In this role she provided expert care to patients experiencing sexual assault, intimate partner violence, child abuse/neglect, and vulnerable adult abuse/neglect.

We do not require a referral and can typically see you in less than a week. Sahil Talwar is a physician assistant with 8 years of experience in emergency, inpatient and outpatient psychiatry. He is licensed in both South Carolina and North Carolina. He graduated from South College with his Master's in Physician Assistant studies in 2015. Sahil has utilized his experience by treating patients in both civilian and military settings. He is a Captain in the Army Reserves and has 15 years of military service. He is the owner of Carolina Psychiatry and Addiction Services.
